"AKEMI!!!!! YOU USELESS PIECE OF TRASH!!!! WHY CAN'T YOU GET ANYTHING I TAUGHT YOU RIGHT?!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE I WASTED SUCH PRECIOUS TIME ON A FAILURE LIKE YOU!!!!!" Endeavor yelled, slapping Akemi.

"I'M TRYING!!!! CAN'T YOU SEE THAT I'M TRYING MY BEST!!!!" Akemi yelled back.

"Don't you dare yell back at me!" He shouted, slapping her another time.

"Father! stop! Please don't hurt Akemi!" Todoroki said, tears rolled down his face.

"Shoto, get out of this!" He yelled.

He was going to slap Todoroki but Akemi ran in front of him, taking the slap instead. "Hurt my brother and I'll kill you," She said darkly.

"You? kill me? Hah! I'd like to see you try! A failure like you wouldn't be able to lay a finger on me," He scoffed.

Akemi dashed toward her father, blasting a huge and sharp shard of ice at him. It hit him in the chest and he hit the wall of their training room.

He struggled to get up but he did eventually. "How dare a failure like you touch me!" He yelled angrily.

"I didn't touch you, my ice did," Akemi stated calmly.

He was very angry and stormed over to Akemi, grabbing her hair and slapping her. "You useless and ungrateful child!!!!"

Akemi cried and screamed at the pain, trying to kick her way out of his grip. He only tightened his grip on her hair, pulling her to his level by the hair and throwing her to the wall. Her head was crashed against the wall. Her eyes were closed but she could still hear. She heard Todoroki's crying. Her mothers crying. Toya's screams. She heard all of it. Why did I have to endure this? Why is my life like this? What did me and Shoto ever do to deserve this?

Suddenly, someone picked her up and ran outside. She knew it was her father by how big and muscular the hands felt. So he's trying to play innocent and send me to a hospital, huh? She thought.

~Days later~

After Akemi was discharged from the hospital she was forced to go straight back to training, even though she could have died from the severe head injury. Her father didn't care. All he cared about was her and Todoroki becoming his perfect children and becoming the number one hero.

It hurt Akemi even more knowing that he never cared if she ever died, because he had another perfect child which was Todoroki. So if one of them died then he wouldn't care 'cos he had an extra.

They were like tools. Tools that could be replaced if the other didn't work. It was sickening and Akemi was tired of it. She was tired of feeling weak. Tired of being weak. Tired of being useless. Tired of the endless nights of crying and pain. She was tired of it all.

She was always very energetic and happy with her family besides her father. But that all changed. Her life crumbled into a million pieces that couldn't be put back together when the person she loved the most died.

Yes, she was very close to Todoroki but she always turned to Toya if she needed advice or emotional support. She was closer to Toya then she was with her twin brother. She loved Toya. He always had a way of making her smile when things were tough. She just never knew that it could all end so fast.

Akemi was in her room with Todoroki, they both shared a room. He was helping her put ointment on her wounds when they both heard a door slam shut. They both got up and went to go see what happened. It was their father. he had left the house. "Why is he so mad all the time?" Akemi asked. "I don't know, probably because he didn't get his way or something," Todoroki said, shrugging. Akemi giggled at his comment but quickly stopped as she soon smelled smoke. Todoroki seemed to smell it too because he looked at Akemi in concern and worry.

"Is there a fire nearby?"

"That's probably why dad left."

"Wait. . .isn't Toya out in the forest? He isn't back yet and it's getting pretty late," Todoroki said.

Akemi's eyes widened in realization. She dashed toward the door and ran in the direction of the forest where Toya normally trains at.

Her heart raced at the thought of Toya dying. Please be alive big bro, She thought.

As she was getting closer to the forest, she saw a big crowd of people. She pushed her way past the people until she saw her father.

Akemi then, turned towards the forest. Her eyes widened in fear. It was on fire.

"Toya!!!" She cried, running to the forest. Tears ran down her face like a river. It all felt too unreal. He couldn't be dead. . .right? Please, don't be dead, Toya, She thought.

No. This isn't real. This is all a nightmare. I'm sure that when I wake up he'll be right beside me to comfort me like he always does. But it was all too real. This wasn't a nightmare. It was reality. This was real. He won't be there for her when I wake up and it hurts knowing it. It hurt her knowing that the person whom she loved the most was dead.

Akemi dropped to her knees. She cried and screamed. Reality was horrible. She didn't want to face the reality of losing him but she had to. "This is just the cost of being a failure," She said. "To gain you have to lose. . .right? But what did I gain? All I gained was more pain."

People surrounded her and tried to get her closer to the safe zone where the fire wasn't around. "We need to get you to safety, young girl." She didn't pay attention to the many people surrounding her.

Suddenly, Akemi began to laugh maniacally. She looked like a psychopath. She sounded like one as well. She looked like she's completely lost my mind.

Everybody watched her in her crazy state. Her father was in pure disgust and her mother and siblings were in fear and worry. Everyone was. All of the adults around her looked at her in fear like she's lost her mind. She kept laughing anyway. She didn't know why but she just felt like laughing. Laughing at her stupidity. Laughing because she thought that she could be normal. But in reality, she was far from normal. The laughing soon turned to screaming. Toya. . .I'm sorry, She thought.
