"Which specific restaurant we're meeting them, by the way?" I asked Off as I was about to step outside my house, turning around as soon as I closed the door, and locked the doorknob. Without even looking at me as he opened his car, he answered, "At Aristocrat. Gun's workplace is just across from that so, he told me he'll go there as soon as he finished his work."

I nodded in understanding, taking steps towards the passenger seat of the car, and opening the door. I went inside and so did Off. I closed the car door before putting on my seatbelt.

Off started the ignition, slowly turned the wheel, and motioned for the car to move backward.

After about some time, we finally arrived at the restaurant Off mentioned a while ago. Once we were inside, we were greeted by multiple families filling up the huge tables, kids running around, and waiters serving the dishes that their customers ordered.

It is currently almost 7 pm, hence, the sky has already turned dark and the sun has already set. I really wasn't in the mood to eat out with a bunch of people but Off insisted since I have been inside my house for weeks now.

And so, here I am, following Off as he made his way around the corner of the restaurant and there, it revealed Gun sitting by himself on a huge table.

He was on his phone, typing away with his eyebrows creased. His shift already ended, what is he still stressing about?

"Hi, babe," Off greeted him as he sat beside Gun and wrapped his arms around him. He planted a soft and gentle kiss on his lover's temple which made Gun sigh and close his eyes.

He placed his phone on the table and leaned on Off's shoulder.

"Gosh, my boss won't stop reminding me of tomorrow's event. It's exhausting me so much," He complained. "I know he's a perfectionist but goodness, our shift has already ended an hour ago, what more does he want from me?" Gun continued, making a face that looked like he was about to cry.

I pouted as I felt bad for him for having such a toxic working environment but when Off hugged his lover a bit tighter and kissed him on his head, I unknowingly winced at them.

"Hey, don't act like you're not in love as well," Off teased me as soon as he saw my facial expression. My eyebrows furrowed at his statement.

Me? In love?

"Omg!" Suddenly, Gun had a burst of energy from the new topic that had opened. He clapped his hands a couple of times as his eyes abruptly turned lively again, sparkling in brightness which then mirrored the reveal of his pearly whites with his big smile.

"When did you propose? What happened?" He began asking the questions I had been dreading to hear ever since I made that decision. But in hindsight, I already expected this... and as ridiculous as it may sound, I have also practiced my response millions of times in front of the mirror by now.
