Miri was sitting dressed in the living room with K who had come to pick them up. She was wearing a beautiful red dress that goes up to her knees. She had her hair in a bun like a classy lady she was.

Beside her k wore a Black tuxedo and tied his hair in a manbun. He wore his badge with was made of ruby to indicate he was the leader of the pack. Though he looked handsome, he didn't say a word and just kept praying everything will go according to his plan.

"Oh sunghoon you are here!" Miri exclaimed as she saw him going down the stairs.

K looked back to see him but was stunned by his mates gorgeousness. Sunghoon was wearing a white outfit which revealed his shoulder blades and collarbone. He wore light makeup and wore  accessories.

Both Khan and K were speechless and kinda possessive over their mate. Sunghoon looked equally stunned to see k. He stopped on his tracks and both of them continued to stare at each other.

But Miri suddenly cleared her throat making both boys come out of their daze as both of them blushed. Miri then exclaimed," You look stunning sunghoon! I'm sure your Mate will go crazy when they see you today.!" Making sunghoon blush while K continued to admire sunghoon. But soon he came to his senses and tsked at the reality.

He said," Let's get going then? Mom? "

"Sure. "

With that they all left for the ball. Upon arrival everyone bowed to K and Miri and greeted sunghoon since the boy was loved by almost everyone he came across.

Soon Sunghoon went to his group of friends and k went to his.

"Hoonie you look so beautiful!!" Sunoo gasped while Sunghoon chuckled.

"I agree with Sunoo. K hyung's so lucky to have you." Jay said which made sunghoon's smile drop as Jungwon smacked Jay's head.

"Ouch what was that for ?"
Jay whined and jungwon rolled his eyes.

"For being a dumbass.!" Jungwon said and Jay smacked him back and they started hitting each other back and forth.

Sunghoon and sunoo just looked at them totally done with them and started walking away causing the other two to stop arguing and following them.

Meanwhile K also went to his friend group and was received with numerous teasing.

"Oh the lucky bastard is here.." beomgyu snickered and K just rolled his eyes.

"Shut it gyu. You know I will never let sunghoon know I'm his mate right?" K said in a cold tone and his wolf couldn't disagree with him more.

Yeonjun rolled his eyes and said," Why are you making this such a big deal? You are being too cruel to him. I know you love him so treat him nice till it's not too late."

Ej added," He is right! And if you really don't wanna mate with a kid in your words then reject him so he can find another  mate!"

Khan growled at Ej's words causing him to show submission. Khan was very protective of Sunghoon if it weren't for K's stubbornness, Khan would've mated sunghoon the moment he turned 18.

"I'm so sorry for that! I didn't mean to growl at you. Khan is just getting hard to control." K said looking apologetic while all his friends rolled their eyes.

"Ofc he would. You are stopping him from accepting his mate who he loves so much!!! He is an Alpha for moon goddess sake !! He needs his omega by his side but you are just being stubborn. I swear you are gonna regret it so much. Don't come crying to me then." Yeonjun scolded K while soobin tried to calm him down.

K just looked down feeling guilty and excused himself to go to the balcony to get fresh air. From the balcony he could get a clear view of the garden outside. He could Also get a clear view of Sunghoon laughing with his friends.

Sunghoon's friend group consisted of Sunoo and jungwon who were omegas and Jay who was an alpha. K has always been jealous of the Alpha for being so close to his omega but he had no right to do anything about it. He could only suffer alone.

~Time skip~

Everyone soon gathered around the stage as the Luna and Alpha of the pack along with Sunghoon went to the stage since it was about to be midnight.

"I thank you all for coming to the age coming ball of Park Sunghoon, who has been raised under the guidance of The Luna and former leader of the pack. I request Luna to say a few words as the mother of Park Sunghoon is no more."

The MC said as it was a tradition for the mother of the wolf coming of age to speak a few word which were often emotional.

Miri took the mic from the MC and smiled at Sunghoon who smiled back before speaking," Good day everyone. I hope you enjoyed and will continue to enjoy this ball. I didn't give birth to Sunghoon but I always treated him as my own. His happiness means the world to me. I hope his  mate will treat him with love and respect. I Also hope he will come to love his mate. Tonight whatever decision you take, I will always support and love you sunghoon-ah" Miri finished her speech while looking at sunghoon who had tears in his eyes while Khan rubbed his back before K could stop him.

Sunghoon and Miri were shocked to see this but didn't say anything. Soon it was about to be midnight.

" I request every unmated Alpha to step Infront of the stage and make eye contact with Park sunghoon to determine if you are his fated mate." The MC said and all the alpha's went Infront of the stage.

Jay was In the very front of the crowd and other alphas who admired Sunghoon which were a lot stayed in the front. K however went to the very end of the room and just looked down determined not to make eye contact with Sunghoon.

"Park Sunghoon please step on the stage and try to find your Mate." The MC again said and handed a mic to Sunghoon who nervously looked at the crowd. He was relieved to see Jay's face in the crowd. The fact the boy was Jungwon's mate but still stood there to support him was heartwarming. 

"10 seconds till midnight. Everybody Count down with me"

"9" Sunghoon took a deep breath.

"8" K looked at Sunghoon for the last time.

"7" k looked away again

"6" Sunghoon smiled and looked at the crowd staring at K who was looking out the window.

"5"  "I hope you can finally be happy, K hyung."

"4" " I am so sorry Sunghoon-ah."

"3"  "I love you Alpha"

"2" "I love you my Omega."

Sunghoon scanned the room which was filled with eager alphas who were ogling at him as if his eyes would change color of they stared harder. Sunghoon's eyes fell on K who continued looking out of the window uninterested. Sunghoon chuckled.

After sunghoon scanned through the whole room he looked at Miri who was already looking at him and shook his head.

"Looks like Sunghoon's mate is not present here today. Don't worry they must be somewhere out there." The MC said and Sunghoon just nodded.

He felt disappointed to not find his mate but he was also relieved. He planned to reject his mate anyway.

The Miri took the mic and asked the big question as the Luna of the pack. "Park Sunghoon do you wish to stay with the pack or join another pack?"

Sunghoon heaved a deep sigh and looked at Miri who had tears in the her eyes. Miri nodded at him and he took the mic closed to his mouth while his hands the shaking.

           "I wish to go rouge."

K widened his eyes and looked at Sunghoon in shock and red met blue.

                       "Mate."
