"Look at wha chu' did to the table!"
"Oh, now you are angry at me? Why must everything be my fault?!"
"Well if you didn' put that pack o' gray shit on it, it woulda been fine!"
"It should've been able to hold itself together! Perhaps wood isn't that durable after all!"
The married couple continued to yell at each other, their voice echoing from the living room through the whole house, it wasn't really that rare to see them argue, but it was always over stuff that they could just talk it out, unfortunately both are very stubborn when it comes to admitting defeat.
While they continued, a small wooden body made itself visible behind them, but continued to stay quiet: waiting for them to notice it over all that shouting.
After about 5 minutes, Wallter noticed them, quieting down and tilting his head towards them, making mark also aware of their presence, they both fixed themselves as they acted like nothing happened, wallter picking up the pack of gray stuff and taking it to the kitchen, while mark went over to them and patted their head.
"Howdy hammer! What are ya doin' up so late?" Mark asked him with a smile, but hammer continued to stare at them spinning their hammer arm slightly.
"Are you angry at daddy?" Hammer would ask as mark stiffened, before shaking his head as he swung his wooden arm around him, chuckling awkwardly. "What?! Ofc not hun! Now, Watcha say we go back to bed an-"
but before mark could finish, the boy ran out of his arms and into the kitchen, making wallter yelp and stumble back when he suddenly appeared behind him, hammer grabbed Wallter's scarf and began tugging aggressively as mark also walked into the kitchen worriedly.
"Daddy, are you angry at papa?" He would ask again, his face was unreadable as always, making Wallter nervously look away "no.. why would you think that baby?" Wallter tried to reassure, but hammer wasn't still convinced, shaking his head at the reply and stomping his legs angrily against the ground.
"You guys are both liars! Liars! I hate both of you!" He whined out loudly, but before none of them spoke hammer ran out of the kitchen and into his bedroom: hitting his hammer aggressively against stuff he passed by due to frustration, breaking a vase or two and cracking some walls.
Mark and wallter stayed still as they watch their son until everything was quiet again: now not only was the table broken, other stuff have been Broken too.
"Ugh..I'm gonna take a breath outside.." wallter mumbled tiredly as he grabbed a can from the pack, opening it as he went outside, closing the back door, mark watched wallter leave as he didn't say anything: at this point they were too far into their marriage, and he couldn't say he was sad, just very disappointed of himself as wallter was.He sighed as he began to clean up the house: taking the broken furniture to the front porch, putting the broken shards into the trash, but the cracks of the walls had to wait: it was simply too late to start patching them up, besides, this isn't the first nor last time the walls will be abused by the boy.
As he was cleaning, he fixed a titled frame on the wall before staring at it: it was a family picture of them: mark and wallter to the sides, lampert and hammer in the middle, and Carla was in wallter's arms, a bright smile was plastered on their faces (except for Carla's), mark always cherished the times where they were all happy, but he has to admit: everyone has their ups and downs, and despite everything with wallter, he still loves them with their whole (wooden) heart. He just hoped things get better from here and he will have his happily ever after..hopefully.
