Mike hurried into the gym behind a few students and spotted Matt sitting with the rest of the jocks, he swerved around the students and ran up the steps.

"Hey you weren't at the celibacy club meeting," Matt said as soon as Mike sat down beside him

"Yeah, sorry, I had an assignment that I needed to get started on. What did I miss?" Mike apologised.

"Rachel Berry joined the club"

Mike looked at him in shock "What? No way."

Matt nodded with a smirk "Yeah, Quinn was pissed. Then when we were doing the balloon thing, Rachel quit, spouting something about girls wanting sex just as much as boys. Which I guess is true."

Mike chuckled with a nod. "I miss one session and miss all the drama."

Matt sighed "Such is the nature of things."

They stopped talking as Principle Figgins spoke about broken toilets before allowing Mr Schue to take over. Miss Pillsbury was the only person who cheered for him.

Mr. Schue stepped forward with a nervous expression "Uh, hi. Uh, when I went to school here, Glee Club ruled this place. And we're on our way back. But we need some recruits to join the party. Now, I can tell you all about how great Glee is, but, uh, I think I'm gonna let some friends of mine show you instead."

He gestured to the stage behind him. Music began to play and Mike quickly recognized it as Push It by Salt 'n' Pepper along with some very suggestive choreography.

Mike, Matt, and seemingly the entirety of the school sat in stunned disbelief, especially seeing star quarterback Finn Hudson getting his ass slapped and dancing like that with a girl who was NOT his girlfriend. Speaking of, he looked to his right where the cheerios were sitting and he could spot Quinn's disgusted expression next to Coach Sue's.

The performance ended in deafening silence. That is until Jacob Ben Israel jumps up with a 'yes' causing the rest of the school to burst into applause.

Mike and Matt remain sitting still in shock from the performance.

"So that's the Glee club" Matt managed to speak up.

"If that's Glee then I think my parents would rather me die than join" Mike joked.

"Who says they have to know?" Matt stated.

A few days later, he and Matt were back at Breadstix with Santana and Brittany.

"So wait a minute you two are in the Glee club now?" Mike questioned as he twirled his spaghetti around his fork.

"Yep, we auditioned with Quinn and got in immediately," Brittany spoke up with a smile.

"Of course we did. We're awesome." Santana grinned at the blonde.

"I'm pretty sure it's because Mr Schue is desperate for students," Matt muttered reaching over to the breadstick basket to take one. Santana glared at him and moved the basket closer to her and Britt.

"But you told me that you wouldn't join under any circumstances including but not limited to begging, blackmail, and/or death." Mike frowned.

"It's all part of Sue's grand plan to bring down the Glee club. Plant some moles i.e. us. And we turn them against each other and boom no more Glee club." Santana explained whilst snatching all the breadsticks from the basket.

"Plus Quinn wants her boyfriend back," Britt added.

"That as well," Santana said before she looked up and caught the waiter's attention by snapping her finger. "The breadstick basket is empty, you need to refill it," She grinned up at him with a sharp glint in her eye.

The poor guy stammered an apology before taking the basket and running to the back to get more for her. Santana looked back at the group with an innocent look, "What?"

"You should join too, it'll be fun" Brittany quickly changed the subject.

"Can't really sing Britt" Matt muttered before looking up at the happy blonde with a smile "but I'm sure you'll enjoy it."

"Plus my parents would throw a fit if they found out I joined an arts club." Mike chimed in, he dreaded what his parents would do if they knew he was 'wasting' his time having fun instead of spending said time studying.

"Who said they'd have to know" Santana stated as the waiter came back with her breadsticks. "Finally" She took the basket and conversed with Brittany.

Mike tuned them out, that was the second time someone had said that to him, but he hadn't even thought of lying to his parents. But he could tell his parents that he was joining a club to expand his horizons. He wouldn't be lying just omitting the truth, his parents could fill in the gaps, and if they come to the wrong conclusions then that's their fault, right? Mike made a face, it still didn't feel right but he really wanted to dance to finally express himself fully to everyone.

Mike jumped slightly as a hand slid into his under the table. He looked over at Matt, 'Are you okay?' his face read. Mike nodded and laced their fingers together finding some comfort from his warm hand against his.

He wouldn't make a decision right now but so long as he had Matt by his side, he could do anything.

A few days later, Mike was still focused on what Santana and Matt had both said, it had been running around his head so much that he had to call Brittany and do a vigorous dance routine at the dance studio to take his mind off everything.

And now he was thinking of it again, Mike let out a sigh and threw his pen on the table. He fucking hated homework and he wasn't going to be finishing anymore tonight.

Mike leaned back in his chair, his headphones in his ears when 'Smooth Criminal' came on, the music flowing through his body. He started to pop and lock in his chair before standing up and spinning away from his desk continuing to dance to the music. He jumped on his bed and off again whilst lost in the music.

Mike spun and ended up crashing into a big pile of books that were on the floor causing a huge racket and breaking him out of his trance.

"Michael?" His mum called through the door "What's going on in there?"

"Uh, nothing" He called back whilst yanking the headphones out of his ears. He picked up the books off the floor to place them on his desk but failed to notice the hoodie on the floor. His foot got caught in a hoodie causing him to go crashing to the floor.

His mum then walked through the door to see him sprawled on the floor, pain etched on his face.

"Michael?" She looked around with a raised eyebrow "What's going on?"

Mike looked up at her with a dumbfounded expression not attempting to move "I -uh- I saw a spider and was trying to get it. I accidentally knocked my books over, sorry."

His mum wasn't convinced "Okay, well dinner is almost ready. Be careful next time."

Mike nodded "I'll be down in a minute"

His mum nodded and left, closing the door behind him. Mike dropped his head onto the ground releasing a loud groan. He's so screwed.
