."What were you both talking about with such big smiles?" he raised his eyebrows as I turned around to face him.

"Not your business," I responded coldly, turning back to search for the book I came for, completely ignoring his existence. Suddenly, I felt a hand on my waist, holding it respectfully. With a thud, I found myself pinned against the bookshelf opposite mine. I looked up and saw him pinning me against the shelf, his siren-like eyes showing anger. Despite this, I got lost in those eyes for a moment, not realizing how close we were. He was trapping me, pinning me in a way that somehow felt safe and respectful.

What was I thinking? He was looking down at my face and letting his eyes travel over my features. No, no, please, my mind raced. Was he going to kiss me? Like the main lead pinning the female lead and kissing her roughly, ending up making out in a wild session? No, stop with your reading fantasies, Y/N. He said something, snapping me out of my wild thoughts.

"You know what I don't like the most?" he asked.

I remained quiet, letting him speak.

"You know?" he repeated, moving closer. Nervously, I shook my head.

"Being ignored. Didn't you just do that? And you always do, kitten." His husky voice, which I had never heard before, was alluring. He moved his hand and started caressing my cheek, looking at me with those siren-like eyes.

"I-- I won't ever do that again, let me go, please," I stuttered, looking at his eyes. He smiled smugly.

"How can I trust you? That you will not do that again?" he moved back a little, finally letting me free, not fully, but at least his lips, his face, weren't close to mine.

I replied, "Just I will not, I PROMISE!" While saying that, I pushed him a little. He was smiling, getting pushed back by me. I bowed, "I'm sorry!" I don't know why the fuck I said sorry being nervous, I just ran out of the library. Unfortunately, we were on the last second shelf nobody would have seen if we had kissed. WHAT THE FUCK, KISS? WHY? Y/N, RELAX.

JIMIN POV

I watched her running away with that pink tint on her face, and nervously, I just smiled, watching her run and say sorry. She didn't know it, but she was cute for that. Wait? Did I just say cute? Nevermind. I put my hand in my pocket and was about to leave I was just playing with her nothing more, walking down the hallway, when a girl came with her two friends. Ugh, this piece of shit. I knew her.

"Hey, handsome," she tried to look sexy with her expressions. I just made my sassy look, eyeing her.

"What do you need, Kim Hari?" With such a boring face, I looked at her. She moved a little closer. Is she a weirdo? Bitch, we're in the hallway. "Excuse me, Hari?"

"I need to talk to you. Meet me after school at the library, last shelf corner," she winked and left. Before I could say no, plastic bag. Ugh, I didn't wanna waste my time on these. I did an eye roll and started walking towards my respective classes to attend, and of course, to search for Y/N to annoy her.

Y/n POV

Finally, school is over. I walk out of school. Now I have to go to my two part-time jobs. For four hours, I work at a cafe, and then for another three hours, I work at a grocery shop. I arrive home at 10 p.m. and then stay until 2-3 a.m. studying. It sounds hectic, but now I am used to it.

AFTER 7 HOURS

After a long day, I came home feeling tired as hell. As soon as I stepped inside, as i sensed my stepmother heading my way. She walked up to me, and I sighed, handing over the money I had earned that day through hard work. She looked at me with disdain and said, "Just this?" I nodded, and she started putting the money in her pocket while saying, "If you don't earn enough, I will sell you. You can't even earn well."
