Chapter 2

As I wake up my stomach growls with hunger. I yawn and stand up, stretching my arms and legs. I then walk out my bedroom door, past the hall way and down the stairs. I quickly grab my keys and put my shoes on. I take out my phone and look at my reflection, I was fine.

I lock the door behind me and adventure the neighbourhood. Kids on bikes rolling down the empty roads. I have to say it was quiet, but it was nice! I then stumble upon a café. Since my stomach ached from hunger stepped inside. It buzzed with the chatter of people. Although it was kind of cozy, it was still a warm environment.

Since it was a cold day today I took a seat on one of the bar stools, near the barista in the middle of the café. I glance around me, looking how lively it was for such a small café. As I look back I meet eyes with who seems to be the bartender.
"Hello, miss?" I look at him up and down, he had pink hair with enchanting eyes. I then glance at the menu and answer him.
"A latte and a piece of cheesecake please" and look up at him again. He then starts to make my order, I then look down at my phone. But I'm then interrupted by his voice.
"So who are you?"
"Hmm?" I Hummed.
"Because I feel like I know the whole neighbourhood." He says while grinning.
"Is that so" I tease and stare into his eyes.
"Yes. So you either have never been here before, or you just moved here."
"Well aren't you a people person I say" and look back down at my phone.
"Yeah, a matter of fact I am" he sticks up for himself. I got to hang it to him though, he was kinda cute.

As there is a moment of silence between us.
"So, because your new here" he starts "how about tonight I show you around town?" He says coming really close to me and placing my order in front of me.
"Uh, uh. I don't think so"
He pouts and keeps his mouth shut, but then a strange grin was plastered on his face. What was he up to?
"Hey," he gets my attention."how about we make a bet?" He looks at me. I'm not really the betting type, but err, what the heck.
"I'm listening" I answered him. He then points to two men playing chess.
"I bet that the short guy will win in one exactly in 30 seconds, you have to go out with me tonight" I nod 'ok' and we wait.
