"The Knave wishes to see you."

Does that harbinger want to rub off your incoming death on your face? Will you have to wear her laughter as she's realized you let one of the most cunning harbingers experiment— or plant something in your little robot arm?

You looked towards the fatui agent with a sigh, brushing your fingers through your hair as you smiled at the worker. "Lead the way." You spoke as you stood up, dusting off your clothing and straightening its wrinkles. You could atleast show a bit of kindness in your possibly-last moments.

The fatui agent nodded nervously— probably because she was facing a woman that was equal in strength with a harbinger, a harbinger she's feared for as long as she's worked.

The sound of their footsteps were the only sound you could hear in the large and maze-like hallways, other than your obvious attempts at starting a conversation and the fatui agent's short and nonchalant answers. The hallways were very luxurious, yes, statues placed everywhere with paintings that probably cost billions or mora— or even billions.

'I really need to tone down on my obsession with mora.' You thought, after all, mora's the one that's gotten you in this mess in the first place and everyone knows you'd do absolutely anything for mora.

What was the reason you even had this scary-like obsession with mora anyways? Right, the reason was—

"Here we are, miss [name]." The fatui's slightly trembling voice snapped you out of your thoughts— realizing just how much you thought about in a 5 minute walk, immediately turning your head towards the two doors with a gold handleset door knob, beside the two doors— were fatui soldiers guarding the Knave.

You thanked the fatui agent, smiling at her— and it was obvious that all she wanted was to get the hell out of here, get away from you and the fatui. It's pitiful how she fears the same thing she has to go through everyday.

She left you in front of the Knave's doors to her office— or should you just call her Arlecchino? Arle? You two weren't even that close yet you were already considering a nickname for her. You concern yourself sometimes.

You sighed, knocking on the dark wooden door as you glanced up at the fatui soldiers, signaling for them to open the door.

They eventually did, the soldier by the right opening the right door of the two doors and the soldier by the left opening the left door, which led you to this ridiculously large office with so much empty space— how wasteful.. But what could you expect? This was Arlecchino, would she waste her time with stupid decorations in an office she didn't even wanna work in?
