The vacuum

Dylan was at the peak of success, but in the depths of his being, a void persisted. Neither his mother, with his unconditional love, nor his girlfriend Alexa, with his constant support, could fill that abyss. The nights became more lonely, and the brightness of the trophies did not mitigate the feeling of being incomplete.

In training, Dylan struggled to keep his smile, but his heart weighed like a slab. What was missing? Why wasn't glory enough? He wondered if he would ever find the answer.

Alexa noticed the change in him. His eyes, once full of passion, now reflected a sadness that he could not understand. He tried to cheer him up, but his words faded into the air. Dylan wanted to hug her tightly, looking for comfort, but the emptiness and her long-distance relationship persisted.

One afternoon, while looking out the window, he saw Gavi at the training camp. The young soccer player laughed with his teammates, enjoying every moment. Dylan felt a twinge of envy. How was it possible for someone so young to radiate so much joy?

That night, in his room, Dylan wrote in his diary. "What am I missing?" he wondered. "Is it the recognition? Fame? Or something deeper?" The words flowed, but the answer was still elusive.

The void became his silent companion. Sometimes, in the middle of the crowd, he felt alone like never before. The lights of the stadium could not illuminate his soul. Was there anything beyond the titles and the applause?

Dylan knew he had to look for answers. Maybe in a forgotten corner of the world, or maybe within himself. But in the meantime, the emptiness persisted, like a sad melody that could not stop humming.
