Chapter 12 The Backstory

Long ago before Domino was destroyed and the Ancestral Witches haven't caused havoc yet, the royal family had just greeted a baby girl to the world. The Great Dragon bestowed upon her the dragon flame, at the same time a spark of the flame had drifted off, and the Ancestral Witches got a hold of it with it. They created a boy who would do their bidding, he would be the most powerful wizard in creation, only rivaled by the new baby girl who had just been born along with him. Having sensed that this girl had possessed the dragon flame, the Ancestral Witches set off to capture her. They successfully did this and destroyed Domino in the process.

The Ancestral Witches planned to raise this girl to embrace the darkness and take over the magic dimension, seeing as they had to wait for her to get older they decided to ensure that she would never betray them. Since the boy they created and the girl both possessed the dragon fire, the witches made it so their souls and destinies were intertwined. The girl named Bloom grew up having the Ancestral Witches as her mentors and learned about dark magic alongside the boy named Valtor.

The Ancestral Witches were cruel teachers and parental figures. They praised their mastery of skills in the dark arts yet punished them when they made a mistake or couldn't take over a village while training. They tried to rise against the witches, unfortunately they had the upper hand as they could control their actions and choose to chain them up or lock them away. They learned the hard way what happens to try and turn against them and fail to do as told.

Before long, the Ancestral Witches were defeated by the Company of Light. This forced Valtor and Bloom to hide away to plan away to conquer the dimension. Over the years the connection between them grew, and it was quite obvious that they were meant for each other. They never denied their feelings and at each others side they sought to conquer some worlds. This made them unstoppable.

At some point since the Ancestral Witches were gone, Bloom and Valtor went to Domino. It was a cold, dead ice scape. There they found all the inhabitants of the planet had been turned to stone, one of which was Bloom's father, Oritel, standing just out of reach of his sword planted in the ground. Valtor had stepped up and pulled the sword from the ground. When he did that a flash of light happened and then the stone that covered everything appeared to float off into the sky. The sword also flashed a light and Miriam, Bloom's mother appeared. Being the saviors of Domino, Bloom's parents were eternally grateful to Valtor and made him as Sovereign**. With their plans to take over all the worlds of the Magic Dimension, Valtor deemed it fit to have Oritel and Miriam continue to rule in his stead. While the rulers of the planet were not comfortable with the fact their daughter had sided with dark forces but they could not deny the fact she was happy with Valtor. While he had ultimately taken over the planet, he didn't change much, just the fact that the planet would be domain and loyal to him was needed. Nothing was destroyed, no one was killed, a swift and painless conquer of the world. Being the home world of Bloom might have had some sway in it but this way on conquering proved effective and less costing on both sides.

After so long, Bloom dreamt to see what the other side of magic was like. So the plan was made for them set in motion. Valtor used his magic to lock away her real memories and replace them with fake ones of a life she never lived. Then they went to earth, a planet least likely to encounter the influence of dark magic, where they found a couple who had longed for a child and had placed false memories in not only the couples minds, but the minds of all those in the town of Gardenia. And that is where the story of Bloom the "last fairy on Earth" began.

Time went on, with Bloom only knowing her life in the light. Always feeling like something was missing. Yes, she discovered she was a fairy, she had magic powers, and now she went to a school where she could learn to use those powers. She made such amazing friends, went on adventures and saved the magic dimension. But that space was always empty, even while dating Sky. But overtime he changed he became colder and distant, seemed to reject her feelings. Occasionally, he would give her attention, but that didn't last long. And as we find out, he had fallen out of love with Bloom and got back together with his ex fiancé Diaspro in secret. He was going to break up with her eventually, but before he could, Lord Darkar appeared and kidnapped Bloom turning her evil.

Having been influenced by evil, Bloom's true memories resurfaced the spell that was on her, and the people of Gardenia broke and all was back to how it used to be, but Bloom couldn't just drop everything, especially with how Skye treated her. Not with that 'display of affection' he put on so she wouldn't stay evil under Lord Darkar's spell. Now with her memories returned, Bloom and Valtor were determined to show the magic dimension who was in charge now.

Will our dark lovers continue to torment the Winx now that the main offender is off the board? Will the Winx convince them to change their ways or will the Winx change theirs?  Who will be the next to receive their punishment?
