Hi y'all, I know I'm trying to be funny, but I'm just gonna write and see how this book turns out...

I walk home, feeling confident that I'd done the right thing. As I reach my doorstep, something feels odd. I unlock the front door and walk inside, where everything I HAD SPENT HOURS CLEANING UP were strewn.
"What?" I think to myself. "I swear I cleaned this up yesterday..."

I walk around, looking in horror as my books, which were ordered neatly on my shelf just eight hours ago before I left for school, were now all on the floor/

Frantically, I dial the police. Beep. Beep. Beeeeeeeeeeeeeep.

The phone goes to voicemail. No answer? I dial again. Since when did the police NOT ANSWER? I consider texting Joshua, but part of me is still angry at him.
"There's no point," a voice booms behind me.

I let out a shriek of terror and spin around. A magnificent young man is standing behind me. His combed brown hair along with his glittering eyes illuminate in the darkness.

"W-who are you???" I stammer in fear. "How'd you get into my apartment?"

"Who I am does not matter at this moment." He walks around and picks up my chemistry textbook. "Chemistry 101...by Jacklyn Newton?" He laughs. "What, does the school think she's the daughter of Isaac Newton or something?"

"She is the daughter of Isaac Newton." I replied, rolling my eyes.

He laughs even harder. "And I'm the long lost brother of Harry Potter!" His laugh, unlike his mature face, sounds more childish and like Mickey Mouse.

I roll my eyes again but asks curiously, "Seriously. Who are you? Why did you come here?"

Mickey Mouse Guy stops laughing but can't hold back his grin. "Okay. My name is Matthew O'Leary. And I need your help."

Now I can't stop myself from laughing. "You do realize, that's what they all say, right? Harry Potter, Katniss Everdeen, Percy Jackson, even the great SHERLOCK HOLMES even needed help. Yeah, no thanks. I'm good. I'd rather stay here than doing whatever idiotic adventure you have planned for me. Sorry big guy, newsflash: Not EVERYONE wants to be the hero."

Matthew sighs. "I know what happened to your girlfriend."

I freeze. Nobody remembers her. He's the only one. He knows....he knows...what happened to her. I turn around to face him. "Tell me what happened. Please." I make sure to throw the word in to show I'm being polite.

He shakes his head, knowing he has me hooked. "Sorry big guy. I'm good. no can do." he says, imitating me. "Well, unless you agree to help us."

I stare at him, trying to control my fury, that is rising rapidly. "Do you honestly think I would do that? I'm sorry, but if you haven't realized that I am not willing to help UNLESS you tell me what you need then you're probably as dumb as Jacklyn Newton."

Matthew pauses before replying. "We don't know what
