Chapter 33

                                     Belly POV

After Conrad told me about Gigi, I knew that I had to keep it a secret from everyone, I can't even tell Gigi that I know, which is probably for the best because it's her choice if she wants to continue taking the meds.

But unfortunately fate had other plans because as soon as I start making Susannah's Fourth of July cake.

Gigi cames in and straight up said. "I'm guessing Conrad told you that I have cancer, that I'm not taking my meds and why I'm not doing it."

It took me a second before I looked up at her and stare at her in confusion.

"I saw Conrad go into the house a few minutes after you did."

"Yes he did Gigi." I said. "Look I'm not judging you reason for not taking the medication, but I gotta asked is that the only reason?"

"Yeah it is the only reason why I'm not taking them." Gigi said, she hesitant as if she's trying to find an explain why she's doing this.

"Gigi you don't have to tell me if you don't want to.." I said.

"No, no, no I want to, we actually got the cancer early at first, so I started taking the medicine... I didn't know I was pregnant when I started taking them... and when I did... it caused her to have a birth defect and... she has a disability."

"Oh Gigi I am so sorry." I said, I then hugged her.

"Plus I don't know if she will like formula." Gigi muttered into my shoulder.

I looked at the window to see my husband with our children, who are or was breastfed and had formula, so was Conrad, Jere, Steven and me according to my mom.

"You'll be surprised how many babies love formula and how healthy it is." I said as I went to finish the cake, I could tell that she's thinking about it.

Conrad POV

As soon as everyone got their pick of cake, Cam Cameron got the okay to propose from me, Jere, Steven and Belly.

After his speech, he then asked. "Will you Hailey Blake Azure, marry me?"

Azure is her grandparents last name, she took it when she escaped her parents, in fact both Kendall and Eva took that last name when they escaped their parents.

"Yes." Hailey said, "yes of course."

They kissed and everyone celebrated their engagement and Fourth of July.

When everyone was asleep when everyone left, all of us went to bed, all the kids are a sleep.

Me and Belly are in bed together, we're both naked tangled in the streets, I'm facing her back, as I softly and gently lay a kiss on her bare back.

My phone buzzed and I slightly turned to grab it, seeing the text because it's probably from my resistance or one of my patients.

As I read the text, I smile and pulled Belly close to my chest and softly kissed on her neck.

I'm always happy when one of my patients decided they want to stay healthy on their own.
