"Well, about that..." I say as Ivy pulls out of the neighborhood. I tell her the whole story as we pull up to the nail. She isn't very happy with me for keeping it from her. "Ivy, I had to! Do you know how crazy thingds would get if people found out that the Jonas Brothersa were staying at my house? You wouldnt even be able to get down the street. You know I would've told you if I could." I say as we walk in. "I know. I was just shocked." She says. We both pick out our colors and go sit down in the chairs. While we're getting our nails done, I show her all the photos and videos I have of my and the guys. We both crack uo watching the prank video. After our nials were finished I got my eyebrows waxed since it was the AMPS tonight and I would be performing and was nominated for two seperate awards. Let's just say, I needed to look good. After Ivy and I were done at the salon, she drove us home. It was around 2 o'clock in the afternoon and I had to get dressed. I unlock the door and enter the front foyer to find Joe chasing Zeke who has his shoe. Ivy and I watch as Joe slides into the kitchen, just avoiding the countertop and falling straight on his face. Zeke hops up on the couch, finally letting go of Joe's shoe, wagging his tail and smiling in victory. "Uh, Joe? Everything ok?" I ask looking down at Joe, who is now on the his back on the floor. By now Ivy and I are both laughing at how ridiculous the situation was. Ivy gets the shoe from Zeke and comes over to us as I help Joe to his feet both of us still laughing. I intorduce Ivy to Joe and then her and I head up stairs so that I can start getting ready for the AMPS. The second I close the door, Ivy lets out an ear peircing squeal. I guess she was excited about meeting Joe. I do my makeup while Ivy puts curlers in my hair. After I finish my makeup, Ivy helps me zip up my dress. It's a rose gold off the shoulder coktail drees that ends just above my mid thigh. I take the curlers out and run my fingers through my hair to loosen the curls a little before using pratically an entire bottle of hairspray for it to stay. "Abby, I got to go. My brothers are waiting for me." Ivy says. "Ok. I'll see you later. Thank you so much for the help." I respond giving her a hug. "Thank you for introducing me to Joe Jonas." She says hugging back. As she leaves my room and walks out the front door. I hear it close behind her. I decide to scroll on TikTok for a while before putting my heels on. Before I know it, Nick is calling up to me letting me know that they are ready to leave. It's now 3 o'clock. The event starts at 5 but the guys have to go get everything set up and rehearse before people start arriving. I grab my heels from my closet before sitting back down and doing up the straps. The shoes are gold stilettoes that have a geometric kind of patern on the top of them. I grab my lip gloss and headpeice, which is also rose gold and matches my dress, I pin the crown in place and grab my purse before heading down stairs. I slowly make my way down the stairs trying not to land on my face. When I make it to the bottom of the stairs the guys have their back to me. I clear my throat and all three of their jaws drop when they see me. Nick is the most stunned. Where as Joe and Kevin recovered quickly, Nick is still staring. "Nick, you good?" I ask. I don't get a response. "I think you broke him." Kevin says laughing. Joe snaps his fingers in front of Nick's eyes and he finally snaps out of the daze. "Sorry about that. Abby, you look really beautiful." Nick says as he offers me his arm to hold on to as we walk out to the car. "Thank you, Nick. You look very handsome." I say. I see a sight blush come to his cheeks. They hired a driver so that none of us had to keep up with keys. we make it out the door and I stop short when I see what they rented to be out car for the night. Now it's my turn for my jaw to drop. I knew they had hired as driver but I didn't know they rented a freaking limo! We all climb in and I give the adress to the driver. While we're driving the guys and I take a million pictures together. "Hey, Abby? I have a question." Joe asks. "What's up?" I say looking up from my phone. "Why do some people call you Aj and some call you Abby? For instance, when we first met, you introduced yourself as Abbybut when we went to the theatre for the meeting with Mike people were calling you Aj. Also where did Aj come from?" Joe asks. "That's actually an intteresting story. When I was away at boarding school, I decided to start going by Aj for a few different reasons. 1) There was another Abby in my cabin so it got really confusing which one of us they were adressing, 2) I felt like Abby didn't really fit who I was and wanted something a little more unique, and 3) it kinda felt like a fresh start, which is what boarding school was for me. As for where it came from, it's just my first and middle initials. My full name is Abigail Jaylynn Elliott. It's actually funny because my brother could also go by Aj. He and I have the same initials." I explain. (This is actually all ture. These are actually the reasons why I started going by Aj at boarding school) "That actually makes sense. Sorry for making you explain all that." Joe responds. "It's all good." I say with a smile. "I actually have a question for you. Well, actually all of you. Do you guys mind if I post some of our pictures on my Instagram?" I ask. The brothers all look at each other before responding. Kevin is the one who finally responds. "You more than welcome to post the pictures. Just be careful. Our fans can get kind of crazy sometimes." Kevin responds. "We were actually going to ask if we could post about you as well."  Nick explains. I can't help but smile. "Of course y'all can post about me. It would be an honor to be on your guys' instagram page. My instagram AJELLIOTT04. (This is also my real instgram/TikTok/Youtube username. Feel free to follow me.) Make sure the one you follow has 04 at the end and not 01. That's my brother. You can follow him if you want, but he'd probably be really confused. " They all follow me and even follow my art account and singing account. After about 30 minutes we pull up in frot of the Courtyard theatre. Joe gets out first since he was closest to the door, followed by Kevin, then Nick who turns around and offers me his hand. I step out and fix my dress before leading the brothers inside to check in. I get my bracelet that I use for food and consessions. The guys don't start sound check until 4 so we had about 30 minutes to kill. I decided to show them around the theatre. I show them backstage and the dressing rooms. While I'm showing the guys around I stop to check in with the sound team and give them my mic that I'll use when I perform. I finish showing them around right at 4. we make our way back up to the front of the theatre where the Dj for the after party in the lobby has just finished setting up the stage, the eqipment, and Nick and Kevin's guitars. I decide to watch the guys warm up. "Hey Abby, I need your help with something." Joe says walking over to me. "Sure. What's up?" I ask setting my phone down. "Slap me." He says "I'm sorry, what?" I ask taken aback. "Slap me." He repeats. "Ok, if you say so." I say. I slap him just as Mr. Mike comes around the corner. "Aj, what are you doing!?! You can't just slap people!" Mr. Mike says coming up behind me. I jump about 10 feet in the air and turn around to face him, startled. "Mr. Mike, it's not what it looks like..." I start but am cut off by Joe. "Sir, I asked her to do it. It's part of my preshow ritual." Joe explains. "If you say so. Sorry about frightening you Aj." Mr. Mike says putting a hand on my shoulder. "It's ok." I say as I smile at him. I watch the guys warm up until people start showing up. As I go around talking to my friends, I see the guys slip away so that they're not spotted. After about an hour mingling we all go into the theatre to take our seats. I look around looking for the guys and see them in up on the upper levles of seats. I wave up at them when I spot them. Not long after we all take our seats the awards start. I'm apart of the first performance, so once the awarsds start, me and my castmates from Hairspray are called backstage to to get ready for the performance. I get my mic from the stage hand back stage. We're opening the show with Good Morning Baltimore. I get into my place on stage when the lights go down. The main part of the song was supposed to be a duet between me and my double but she had something come up last minute and she couldn't make it. The song ends and we all leave the stage. I hand my mic pack back but decide to keep my mic on since I have other performances coming up. The awards continue and before I know it, the cast of Aida is getting called back stage. We are the act 1 closer and we are doing a mash up of Dance of the Robe and the Gods Love Nubia. I technically wasn't apart of the production since i was the stage manager but since we were down a few people my director said I could be apert of the performance. The performance goes amazing and we get a standing ovation at the end of it. We now have a short break before act 2 starts. Act 2 starts with one of the awards I'm nominated for, best leading actress in a play. I got nominated for my role as Puck in a Midsummer Night's Dream. I end up winning for the Plano branch of NTPA. A couple more awards are given and then it's time for my castmates and I to perform Summer Love, the opening dance number from our production of a Midsummer Night's Dream. The number goes really well. We a return to our seats as they call up the next sets of awards. After a few more awards, it's time for my next performance, Seize the Day from my current production of Newsies. Unlike the others, I take my heels off since we'll be dancing on newspapers and I don't want to hurt myself. By the end of the performance, I am so tired. Two dance numbers back to back was not fun. When I get backstage I get my shoes back on and am told just to hang out since the next award is the second on I'm nominated for, best ensemble member for Newsies. I win for NTPA overall. After all the awards are given, I head backstage on last time for the final performance, You Can't Stop the Beat. The performance goes really well and by the end of it the entire audience is on their feet. With the awards portion over it's now time for the after party and for the Jonas Brothers performance. Little did I know, the guys had a surprise waiting for me.

Little bit of background, the performances in this chapter are 80% true. I really did perform  Summer Love, You Can't stop the Beat, and Gods Love Nubia. The ones I made up where Good Morning Baltimore, Dance of the Robe, and Seize the Day. I have also won two awards in the Amps as well, except in reality I won one one year and the other the next year. The two awards I won were best ensemble member for my second production of Newsies the year before last and then best cameo performance for being the principle in Hairspray. I was actually supposed to perform The World Will Know from the first time I did Newsies at a different Amps but it was the second night of performances for my new production of Newsies so I couldn't go. Now for The Gods Love Nubia performance, I was the stage manager. I tecnically wasn't supposed to perform but I begged my director and he let me perform. I learned the harmonies in literally 24 hours. We never performed Dance of the Robe, even though I wish we had, we only performed The Gods Love Nubia. It really was the act one closer for the Amps last year. Which brings us to the last of the performances, You Can't Stop the Beat. That was the closing performance for the amps last year. It was also the last performance I perfomed/will perform on the amps stage since I have now aged out of the theatre. the amps actually just happened a couple weeks ago. I had a really fun time watching my friends perform and hanging out with them after the fact. Hope this makes sense. Sorry it's a bit confusing. Hope y'all enjoyed the chapter. I am already working on the next one. It should be out soon

Until next time-
