If you want your character's name to be unique, something that nobody's ever heard of before, then combine two names! I've seen this done before for middle names, where the expectant parents combined the names of the future grandmothers for the girl's middle name. They combined Amelia and Brianna, and got Amerianna for the middle name. I've never heard of that name before, and I don't think anyone else has before either. It's very unique, and if that's what you like, then you can go ahead and do that!
You can do this with any two names that you would like. I personally think that this is a very creative way to pick out a name for your character, but maybe it's a bit too creative for just a book. The example above was from a book here on wattpad, where the expectant parents chose that name, so I think you should only use this idea if the characters in your book are expecting a child, and they use this for their child. But it doesn't have to be that, you can use this for anything if you would like, or you don't have to use it at all.
