Busy Day

Estella point-of-view

Fuegoleon's Bedroom was more like an apartment. The door leads to an entrance room, and off to the side is a kitchenette, a sitting room, and a mini library with a desk used to do work. Unlike his book collection kept in his office, the library in his room was filled with romance, adventure, and fantasy books. He also had a handful of cookbooks and scrapbooks. In the back is his massive bedroom with a king-sized bed, a walk-in closet, and a full bath.

I begrudgingly rise from my comfortable warm bed at 6 in the morning. Fueggy's side of the bed had already grown cold. I groun. I'm not looking forward to what punishment he will give me for waking up late this time. It was cold and stormy out with the wind and rain pounding against the window. The Sun didn't peek through the clouds but I can tell it is visibly lighter outside. I roll out of bed, pulling the blanket off with me, and curling up into a lump on the floor. I slowly crawl into my walk-in closet. Once I, unfortunately, make it to my closet I pull and tug on the clothes I want to change into from the floor. Refusing to get up, I eventually pull my entire rack of clothes off the wall and on top of me. Not wanting to deal with it I change into the clothes I want and do my best to keep my mess on my side of the closet. I tie my hair into a messy bun, wrap the blanket around me, and venture out of our room.

The hallways were mostly empty with only a few senior magic Knights awake and walking around. They smile at me knowingly or comment on how cold it is as we pass each other. I find my way to the gym. The gym appears to be empty except for Fuegoleon, so I creep very quietly inside so he doesn't hear me. I sit on an empty bench waiting for him to be done with his weightlifting session. Despite the cold stormy weather, he was shirtless and in shorts. He has been working out alone for over an hour. The mirrors were clouded and the room was much hotter than outside.

His ripped well-toned muscles shine from his sweat. Oh, what I would give to be wrapped around him right now. How would he react if I were to straddle him midwork out or would that be too dangerous? Could I kiss him?

Once Fueggy is done with his reps I cough to gain his attention. He looks slightly startled and turns toward me bundled up in my blanket on a spare bench watching him.

"I see you're all warmed up. You were freezing this morning," chuckles Fueggy. "How it that you haven't worked out at all but you're redder than I am?"

"It's only October. why is it so cold? I will not accept a white Halloween!"

"You might not have a choice. We have always had some decently cold winters around here. It's not rare for things to get cold out here fast."

"Do you guys decorate for Halloween because if you don't I'm going to start!"

"I forgot how much you love the holiday."

"And I forgot how much you didn't care for it."

"It isn't that I don't care about it. I just prefer the winter or the summer holidays. Anyways, we only have the gym to ourselves for another 30 min. You should get started."

I start my stretching before transitioning to yoga. My goal was to recenter my balance and my mana. I follow the flow of my mana as I transition from pose to pose. My mana has returned to normal levels so as soon as Julius returns I'll be ready to be given my grimoire back.

"Are you almost done? I need to go with you to the Capitol today. I'm on patrol duty and I have paperwork for you."

"Oh joy. Adding to my ever-growing workload. Thank you, sweetheart. I love you too." I mutter in a sarcastic tone.
