The two Omegas were running as fast as they can.

Jongho had accidentally squeezed Seungmin's shoulders too tight, making Seungmin wince, catching the attention of two Alphas who stood by the exit of the building.

"Fuck, fuck."

The younger cursed as he ran with Seungmin, practically dragging the latter.

"I'm sorry, hah..."

Seungmin apologized, desperately trying to catch his breath but failing miserably because of how quickly the other Omega was running.

The older Omega has nowhere near the stamina that Jongho has. He struggled to breathe but still ran as quickly as possible, scared for both of their lives.

Run.

That was the only thing in his mind right now.

"Fucking Omegas. Catch them!"

They heard one of the Alphas behind them yell.

It was of no use running when one of them grasped Seungmin's shirt, pulling him away from Jongho.

"No- Seungmin-ah!"

Jongho yelled in horror, stopping in his tracks as he didn't feel the warmth of his friend's hand anymore.

Seungmin felt helpless as the Alpha held both of his wrist with one hand while head-locking him with the other arm.

The younger Omega watched the scene with trembling hands,

While he was distracted, the other Alpha put him in another head-lock like what Seungmin was in.

The Alpha that held Jongho, who he knew to be Kim Jiseok, smirked,

"Not so fast. What fools, right Jeonghwi-ya?"

Jiseok snickered, inattentive to the Omega in his arms.

The taller Alpha, who had Seungmin, laughed along,

"Have you not learned from what happened to your other Omega buddies?"

Seungmin's eyes glistened with tears at the mention of his other friends that has passed away,

And Jongho's jaw clenched, feeling his anger boil up.

With his legs not having any restraints, he violently raised one of his legs at the back, hitting the Alpha's undefended dick.

Jiseok grunted painfully, automatically letting go of Jongho as he clutched his almost broken sword.

"Jiseok-hyung!"

Jongho took advantage of his vulnerability and launched at Jeonghwi, using the taser on the Alpha's taller form that held Seungmin,

Jeonghwi's arms momentarily stuttered from the taser so Jongho pulled Seungmin away from him forcefully, hugging the older Omega in his arms.

Just before Jeonghwi managed to grasp Seungmin's wrist, Jongho had pushed Seungmin away as hard as he can, kicking the Alpha on his torso.

He looked at Seungmin who had fallen on the ground with streaming tears down his cheeks from the pain,

"Seungmin! Run! Eugh-"

Jiseok, who managed to stand up, punched Jongho in the face before he could finish his sentence and the latter shot back with a headbutt,

"Please! Get away! Run, Seungminnie!"

Jongho yelled, panting as he wiped the blood that dripped down from the corner of his mouth.

The Omega on the ground watched the scene in fright,

No, he couldn't leave Jongho alone...

But if he didn't run away now, Jongho would've been hurt for nothing..

Trembling, Seungmin stood up from the ground, fighting the urge to sob at the pain his whole body felt.

He stumbled before running away, again.

Leaving his best friend behind with a heavy heart, guilt eating him up inside but couldn't afford to look back because he could hear the painful hits his Jongho was taking just for him to get to escape.

If he take another glance, he might not be able to have the heart to leave even though he knew he was weak, as weak as anyone can get.

"Get him, Jeonghwi!!"

Seungmin heard Jiseok yell in anger.

His breath hitched as he continued running as quickly as he could, hearing the approaching Alpha behind him with haste.

He was outside.

It's been years since he's breathed in fresh air,

But he couldn't get distracted now.

With adrenaline pumping in his veins, he sped up ever so slightly.

He'd probably faint soon if he kept going at this speed and draining out his energy since he didn't even have dinner earlier.

Seungmin took a turn,

Now finding himself in a dark alleyway with random graffiti on the walls and rats the immediately ran away once he approached in a rush.

He felt like he's ran a mile..

He ran behind the buildings, his heart slightly calming as the scent of the Alpha faded away.

A new street was in sight when he came out of the alleyway and he didn't know where he is,

There was only a single streetlight the lit up the road and it was flickering as vines grew on it.

Seungmin stopped running and fell to the ground, panting,

He felt exhausted, hungry, sleepy, and his heart clenched, still not able to forget the friend he left behind.

Using the back of his hand, he wiped the tears that started building up in his eyes as he stared blankly at the ground,

Even though he escaped, he felt empty inside.
