CHAPTER-40

"The dead body found in the Han river of a twenty six years old man is still under investigations." The reporter spoke on the television. "After getting identified, the officers claimed the man to be Jeon Jungkook, who was a painter. Furthermore investigations founded him to be working in Kim Corporations."

'You failed to protect me, hyung.'

Taehyung's eyes opened wide in worry after the nightmare he just got.

He was sitting on the floor, and didn't know when he dozed off.
It's been two days and he had not slept for even a minute.

Taehyung looked around himself and breathed deeply. He was almost crying.
He stood up and rushed towards his balcony to get some fresh air.
The cold chilly night of october, felt hot to him due to constant sweating.

Tears welled up in his eyes and he looked at the stars. Slowly, he let all the tears flow down on remembering the dream.
'Please. I'm sorry Jungkook. Please comeback.' He kissed the bracelet in his hand and cried to it.

His heart was beating fast and he was scared as hell. 'Tell me you're fine. Please.'

He was the reason why Jungkook ran away that day. Only if he told him the truth, Jungkook would be in his arms at the moment.

Taehyung weeped the whole night. Again.

JungKook blinked twice before finally waking up. His head was paining alot.

The first thing he saw was the white ceiling. He looked around himself.
It was a hospital room.

The dressings on his wrist caught his  eyes and an IV was inserted on his arm.
The blood was flowing through the tube from the bag to his arm.

Jungkook remembered everything and sighed.
He sat up slowly on the bed and thought of all the things that took place in the past.
The first person who took up his mind was Taehyung. He was the reason behind his condition. How much Jungkook hated himself for that.

The last thing before sleeping, he saw, was the blood coming out of his wrist. After that he doesn't remember how he got here.

Jungkook was still in his thoughts when Gabriell entered.
"Jungkook! You're finally awake!" He cried and ran towards his bed.

"A-am I st-ill in Italy?" Jungkook stuttered.

Gabriell frowned. "You don't know how worried, I was for you."

"Tell me. Is this Italy?"

Gabriell nodded and sighed. "I told you that I'll keep you safe here Jungkook. Why did you do that to yourself?"

"How am I here?"

"You literally harmed yourself! You think I'd leave you dying there!?" Gabriell questioned. "It's been two days to that incident and it's the first time you opened your eyes."

Jungkook gulped. "Two days?"

"The doctors tried their best to help you Jungkook. You're finally awake after two days!"

"Let me go."

"You're not leaving in this condition. I won't allow." Gabriell uttered.

"Please." Jungkook cried. "Let me freaking go back to my country! I want to see my Jimin hyung!"

"You will only get more hurt there, Jungkook. Don't do this to yourself."

"Please..."

"Look at yourself right now." Gabriell spat. "You hurt yourself for a man who faked loving you. You care about him so much! But does he care? He's still getting married to that woman!"

"Don't do this to me..please."

"I'm sorry to say this, but this is the truth." Gabriell sat on the bed. "Even after you got here, he's still getting married. His marriage announcement is all over the social media."

"Huh?"

"Look at it yourself." Gabriell took out his phone and showed the screen to Jungkook.

It was an article with the heading "The owner of Kim Corporations finally announces his marriage on 20th November."

Jungkook read the article further.
'Kim Taehyung, the CEO of Kim Corporations, in an interview on 10th October, announced his marriage with Kim Harin. In the age of 28, the man became one of the most successful civil engineers in Korea.
Kim Harin is the daughter of a well known real estate owner, Kim Ye-Jung.
The ceremony is said to take place in a grand hall. Only the people close to their families are invited.'

Jungkook threw the phone on the bed and looked at Gabriell. "Wh-whats the date today??"

"11th October." Gabriell sighed. "He said it yesterday. It is a very fresh article."

Jungkook let all his tears flow down his eyes. "How can I trust you?!"

"Take my phone. And look at it yourself. It's trending almost everywhere." Gabriell handed him his phone.

Jungkook looked through a few more articles and it was actually the truth.
On twitter, Instagram, facebook. The marriage was actually trending everywhere.

He turned off the phone and sobbed.

"I feel bad for you." Gabriell placed his hand on his shoulder.

"He's the worst." Jungkook cried. "A fucking cheater, a liar! I hate him!" Speaking that he hates him was easier than accepting it.

"Don't think about him anymore. Don't keep on hurting for a liar."

Jungkook continued to weep. "Let me talk to Jimin hyung. He's my best friend."

"Stay away from everyone there. Noone is true to you, JungKook. They all are liars!"

"Jimin hyung isn't."

"He's still with Taehyung and Yoongi! After all the things you got through, he's still with them!"

"I want to see him once. Please." JungKook cried.

"You'll have to stay in the hospital for another two weeks. Your therapy will continue here."

"I don't want to be with you."

"I'm not the bad guy you think of me." Gabriell calmed him down. "I'll take care of you, better than anyone. Trust me."

Jungkook lied back on the bed and continued to cry. He had nowhere to go now. He was kidnapped by a man who was promising to take care of him.

The other person, who drew stars around his scars became the one to give him new scars. He couldn't trust anyone.

"Why would I trust you?" He sniffled.

Gabriell sighed. "I brought you here for you to start a new life and become happy. That place is a hell for you."
