Louise came into the kitchen holding her daughter. Poppy was fidgeting to be down, so Louise put her on the ground. Nico came running through from the family room.
"Mommy, is Daddy back yet?" He asked.
"Not yet, honey," she said, stroking her sons dark hair. He was a carbon copy of his father. He was only 4, and it looked like he had his Dad's musical talent too.
Poppy was 2 and very energetic. She was blonde with green eyes , and neither of her parents had any idea where it came from. As they were both brunette. Although Louise had blue eyes.
Around Poppy, everyone turned to mush. She had her Daddy wrapped around her little finger. She was a daddy's girl.
Louise and Brendon had been married for nearly 5 years now, happily. Brendon was away on tour at the moment. He was due home today.
The kids were so excited. They missed Brendon. Louise couldn't wait to see her husband. To help with the waiting around Louise sat and played with play dough with the kids. They all had a great time moulding it into shapes and making characters and stories. They got so engrossed in what they were doing that they almost forgot about Brendons' homecoming.
"Well, this is a nice welcome home, family." They heard from the doorway.
"DADDY!!"Nico shouted, running towards his father. Brendon scooped him up. He gave him a big hug and kiss.
Poppy waited until Nico was done, and she tapped Brendon on the leg. Brendon kneeled down to her level.
"How's Daddy's little princess?" He asked her. She put her little arms around his neck and hugged him. He picked her up and kissed her cheek.
"Daddy, I got a new baby," she told him.
"You did?" He asked, and she nodded. Nico was jumping around all hyped up.
He let Poppy down and kissed his wife. "Hello, wife." He said to Louise.
"Hello, husband." Brendon picked his bags up and took them upstairs to the master bedroom. Louise started to tidy the play dough away. Nico came over and helped her. Poppy followed.
"Ok, who wants a snack?" She asked.
"Me me me," her kids shouted. Then Brendon came and joined in. Louise laughed and fixed some snacks.

After bath time and story time, Brendon joined his wife on the couch in the family room. Louise was watching a film sipping on a glass of wine.
"Both go down, ok?" Louise asked him
"Out before I got to the 3rd page." He chuckled.
"Probably all the excitement of having their Daddy home." Louise said. Brendon looked at Louise and kissed her.
"You have no idea how much I have missed you Lou. All of you.
3 months is far too long to be on the road when I have a family at home."
"Buts it's the nature of your job, Bren. Album then tour."
Brendon sighed. "I know."
He held his wife close as he sipped on a beer. He watched the movie with Louise.
They went to bed, and both slept more soundly than they had in a long time because they were together again.

The next morning was like Christmas. Kids were jumping all over Brendon and Louise. Brendon got up.
"Go back to sleep for a bit, babe." He said to Louise and kissed her forehead. Louise turned over and fell back to sleep. He took the kids downstairs for breakfast. They all ate. Louise came down and poured some coffee. She helped herself to some cereal.
"Mommy, can we go out today?" Nico asked.
"Where would you like to go?"
"Hmm," Nico said deep in thought.
"Fish!" Poppy said.
"Yea! Can we go to Sea World?" Nico asked.
"Yea, can we?" Brendon asked, as excited as the kids were.
"Sure," She said, eating her cereal.
Everyone cheered. Brendon took the kids upstairs to get ready. Louise finished her coffee and cereal and cleaned up after breakfast. She could hear the kids giggling at something their father was doing. Louise climbed the stairs and went to have her shower.
Afterwards, going into the bedroom with a towel wrapped around her, she went to the closet to choose something to wear. Settling on a black floaty jumpsuit with a tan belt and wedges. She did her hair and make-up first. Brendon walked into the bedroom to get his phone whilst the children played in their room. He let out a whistle when he saw his wife in nothing but a towel.
"Come here." he said. Brendon put his arms around Louise and kissed her. Louise melted. She had missed having him here as much as the kids had.
She had missed his presence, his warmth in bed, and their lovemaking.
They kissed for several minutes.
"Bren," Louise gasped as they broke apart.
"Later, baby," Brendon said, kissing her again and going to see what the kids were doing.
Louise finished getting ready. Then she packed what they would need for the day and loaded it into their car. Brendon got into the drivers said. Louise finished putting Poppy in her car seat and slipped into the passenger seat.
"Sea world, here we come!" Brendon said, pulling out of the garage. Off they went singing along to Disney songs.
"Hakuna Matata, what a wonderful phrase," they all sang.
Soon enough, they saw the signs for Seaworld.
"Nearly there, kids." Brendon said. The kids cheered.
Pulling into the parking lot, Brendon got the kids out of the car whilst Louise got the stuff out of the trunk, including Poppy's stroller. Brendon placed Poppy into it, and Nico kept hold of the side of the stroller.
"Are we ready, kids?" Louise asked. The kids and Brendon all chorused a yes.
They had a wonderful day looking at all the different fish animals and dolphins they have. Nico especially loved the Orcas because they 'big splashed Daddy'. Brendon got soaked.
