Chapter 3

It is now lunchtime at Object High, and everyone files in with their homemade lunches or goes to the lunch line to get school food.
Paintbrush: "School food is always gross."
Candle: "I must agree with you."
Silver Spoon: "That's why I always bring my royal lunch!"
Lollipop: "Silver, can I sit here?"
Silver: "Of course, you Capulet!"
Lollipop: "At least it's just for this play."
Amelia: "I can definitely sense that Lolli likes Flower."
Candle: "Haha! Lollie's aura really says that loud."
Flower is currently coming back from the office.
Flower: "Hey Lolls, can I sit by you?"
Lollipop: "S-Sure!"
Silver: "The Capulet is more lively than usual!
Candle: "Yes, i concur."
Amelia: "Oh! My partners, Liam and Bryce, just came back from the lunch line! Liam! Bryce! Over here!"
Bryce: "I guess it's your turn to choose where we sit!"
Both Liam and Bryce sit near Amelia.
Liam: "At least we're not the only poly ones in this school."
Amelia: "We aren't?"
Candle: "No Amelia, you are not! Blocky, Eraser, and Pen are a polycule!"
Amelia: "Candle, that's so wonderful!"
Pen: "Was I mentioned?"
Candle: "We were just talking about your polycule and how you're not the only one!"
Pen: "We aren't?!"
Candle: "Amelia, Bryce, and Liam are one as well!"
Eraser: "Well, that's just swell!"
Liam: "Fellow polycule members, huh. Interesting."
Lightbulb: "I'm sure everyone here is LGBTQ!"
Pen: "Yeah, everyone in DEATH PACT is some sort of LGBTQ."
Amelia: "As well as our whole school."
Golf Ball, Test Tube, Fan, and Tennis Ball walk past the table.
Pen: "Well, besides them."
Amelia: "Besides them?"
Pen: "They're the elite smart ones of this school. Fan and Test Tube are dating and so are Golf Ball and Tennis Ball. They're all good friends."
Silver: "Even if they are commoners, they help a lot with the math work!!"
Then, other students file into the lunchroom.
Fire Alarm: "You piece of crap!"
Scat: "That's what I am!"
Seat whispers to Nori, "Have they always been like this?"
Nori: "Yeah, ever since middle school. They seem weirdly tensioned."
Scat: "Why do you always keep fricking bullying me and starting fights with me, you overcooked pasta bowl!"
Fire Alarm: "You, I like you! I friggin like you!"
At that exact moment, the whole lunchroom erupted into a state of silence and shock. Even the teachers and staff were flabbergasted!! Scat just lies on the floor in utter shock.
Fire Alarm: "Oh crap. I said that out loud."
Scat gets up as everyone around the room watches intently as to what happens next.
Scat: "Maybe that's why i've been fighting back. Just to get closer..."
Fire Alarm: "...But it never seemed to work."
The Tiny Tacos yell across the room with their seventh grade friends, Grassy, Rocky, Bracelety, and the Cherry Twins.
Tacos: "MAYBE TALKING WOULD BE BETTER THAN FIGHTING!!"
Rocky: "Bleh!"
Grassy: "Grassy is confused, Tacos."
Cherry 1: "Grassy, they didn't like each other and now they do!"
Grassy: "Grassy understands! I'm Grassy!"
Blocky: "Yes Grassy, you are grassy."
Pen: "You tow coming over with the Grassy man?"
Blocky: "I have to take care of 'im till Mom gets home at 7:30, I can't."
Eraser: "Sure love, i'll come. I just have homework for Math and probably History."
Snowball: "Why'd you just call him love? You barely even care for anyone!"
Eraser: "Snowball. Pen, Blocky, and I are a polycule. We like each other."
Snowball: "So that's why i feel so left out. Well, I'll just be the third wheel that protects you."
Eraser: "Snowball, we don't need protecting. We have Blockster."
Lightning: "Snowball, you seriously didn't know? it's so obvious."
Snowball: "They're not like Lightbulb and Paintbrush making out in the hallway. Or Chalky and Broomer last year."
[Author's note - the EE cast, the rest of the ONE, BURNER, and the ITFT cast are in tenth grade and therefore do not go to this school anymore. Eight graders and ninth graders get along well. There are no 8th graders this year.]
Eraser: "Broomer was pretty chill, to be honest. Chalky was as dumb as a rock."
Lightning: "Markie and Chalky are still good friends. We have him over as a third wheel and they play "Toss the Dirt", "Eat the Dirt", and even "Save the Dirt"... I love Markie the idiot though."
Lightning: "Why do you even like him?!"
Chainsaw: "I'm joining this conversation, Snow."
Blocky, Eraser, Pen, Lightning: "YOU CALL HIM SNOW?!"
Chainsaw: "Yeah. I've gotten to know him cause I sit by him in pretty much every class."
Snowball: "Yeah, me and Chainsaw here are like the same person form different shows."
The lunch period then ends as everyone scatters into the halls to get their things.
Leafy: "Firey, Firey!"
Firey: "Yes my Leafy?"
Leafy: "Can I tell you something?!"
Firey: "Yes you can sweetie."
Leafy: "I... you know i'm poly right?"
Firey: "Yeah, so am I, what is it?"
Leafy: "I like Pin! and Coiny!"
Firey: "Me too..."
Leafy: "I know me and her had a history together, but it's all good!"
Firey: "Well I'm glad. I just tasted the weirdest watermelon! It was highly disappointing.
Leafy: "Yellow Face's Pumpkin 2.0? That's a machine, not a fruit, and a pumpkin and watermelon are not the same!"
Firey: "Oh, alright."
Remote passes by and hears the two talk about the Pumpkin 2.0.
Remote: "I rather liked it. I did not eat it, and it did send Marker to a soverign territory that doesn't even celebrate Halloween. Four stars. Very pumpconic."
Leafy: "Isn't the adjective 'pumpkiny?"
Remote: "Golf Ball told me it was pumpconic, and I trust her because she's smart and can fix me."
Leafy: "She is smart! And bossy..."
Golf Ball overhears this snippet of the conversation form Leafy.
Golf Ball: "I HEARD THAT! "
Tennis Ball: "Excuse her, she's just a bit frustrated from an experiment gone wrong."
Golf Ball: "IF FAN WASN'T FOOLING AROUND WHEN WE WERE DOING IT, THE EXPERIMENT WOULD HAVE BEEN A SUCCESS! "
Tennis Ball: "I'm sorry for any trouble she's caused."
Leafy, Firey, Remote: "It's okay! Have a great class!"
Tennis Ball: "See you around!"
The bell rings and people start going into their classes, ready for the fourth period to begin!
