"Promise me you won't leave here until I tell you to come out!" Darcy shouted at the little eight year old girl crouched inside the hollow space behind a false wall. "Promise me Tolkien!"

"I promise mama." She replied quietly mumbling.

"Good. Now stay here and keep your brothers safe." Darcy nodded to the younger boys huddled behind Tolkien. "They'll need your strength."

Darcy bent down to give a hug and a kiss to each child, murmuring in each individual's ear. "Now stay safe. I need to go save your fathers butt again."

Darcy stood back up and gently closed the slice of wall. To anyone else's eyes except Darcy and Loki it would look like just a piece of the wall. But to them it was a door. Behind it was a room just big enough to fit their three children and some provisions in case something happened and they needed to hide. Something like an attack on Asgard for instance.

Tenderly Darcy trailed her fingers over the wall before she straightened her spine and turned around. "Goddamn it Loki. You just had to provoke the Fire Giants. If they don't kill you at the end of this I will!"

Rushing out of the bedroom and into the throng in the hallway, Darcy was quickly swept along. "Stupid husband couldn't keep his stupid mouth shut." She mumbled to herself as she straightened her armor and tightened the belt holding the sword at her side.

Unlike her husband who preferred illusions and magic among daggers of all things, Darcy preferred the sword at her side. Not to say that was the only weapon she carried on her but it was definitely her favorite. She had the sword at her side, two daggers slipped under her wrist guards, and two short swords in their sheaths on her back. And let's not forget the tasers she had strapped to each leg. Yes, Darcy was prepared for this and she'd sooner die then stand by and let her family get hurt.

"Darcy!" Someone behind her shouted out and grabbed her arm, pulling her to the side of the hallway.

"Jane!" Darcy shouted back. "What are you still doing here? I thought Thor would've locked you up by now."

"Well I could ask you the same!" While Darcy preferred to be on the front lines and standing by her husband, much to his dislike, Jane didn't have a choice as Thor prohibited her fighting. It was all good though. Jane preferred staying behind and watching the children instead. She was the last defense if anyone tried harming the kids and future of Asgard. "Why aren't you in your rooms? Where are Tolkien, Destin, and Corey?"

"Relax Jane. They're safe. And you know I can't just stand by idly and do nothing. My husband got us into this mess so I'm going to fix it."

"But Darcy-"

"Darcy! There you are child." Jane was cut off as Frigga came up to the pair. She was wearing her armor, although unlike Darcy's which covered nearly everything like Sif's did, Frigga's only covered her shoulders and upper chest. A sword was attached to her side also. "I thought you were already out there! And Jane! What are you doing away from your rooms? Who's protecting the children?"

"A servants watching them right now. I needed to grab another sword just in case." It was then that Darcy realized Jane was in fact holding onto a silver sword.

"And I was just about to leave before I got sidetracked." Darcy admitted.

"Well then come on dear, our men need us," Frigga began pulling Darcy along through the crowded hallway. "And Jane hurry back to your rooms! Stay safe!" Frigga called over her shoulder.

"Now Darcy it would appear that Loki has made quite the mess of things wouldn't you agree?"

Darcy let an inelegant snort out through her nose. "You're telling me. And I thought the day he forgot our anniversary was bad."
