Chapter 1

"What the actual fuck?"

A young girl murmured as she looked around. Her attire was still the same and she still had her sword. However, this forest wasn't the same as the one she had been fighting in. Suddenly, she sensed someone running towards her. She jumped up quickly, staring at the spot as her hand hovered above her sword.

"AHA"

Her sword quickly pointed to the source of the sound, a dangerous glare on her face. The source was dumbstruck. She had orange hair that resembled a tangerine, and green eyes that pooled with fear and surprise.

"Sorry I thought you were Norman!"

She yells out as she tries to run away. The demon slayer however, was way faster due to her training.

"Hold on, kid. Where am I?"

She interrogates as she held the girl down. The girl struggled against her grip.

"You're at an orphanage! Please stop hurting me!"

The girl begged as the demon slayer glared at her. The demon slayer eventually let her go, formally introducing herself.

"I apologize, I'm Y/n L/n. I somehow got here as I was fighting a demon. I believed this was a trick which resulted in the harsh behavior I inflicted on to you. I apologize again."

The slayer states, bowing down to show her sincerity. The girl, who was just happy to meet someone new, smiled brightly.

"Wow! That's so cool! Are you from the outside? I'm Emma, by the way!"

"Well-"

Suddenly, y/ n stopped talking. Her e/c eyes stared at the direction where she had sensed a presence. Emma, who was confused at the cut off, also stared at the same direction.

"Come out, whoever you are."
