Can't Keep Me Down

-Six hours after last chapter Ahri POV-

I hurry to mine and Grey's room as I heard he was already released. Upon entering the room I see Grey looking out the window. To my surprise he has five tails and his ears out. "Grey." I say softly and he turns to me.

"Ahri." He says calmly and I blush as I realize he's shirtless. His strong but not overly built body on full display, his eyes shining like rubies in the lamp light, and his scars telling stories about his past battles.

"You should be resting...why were you released?" I ask and cross my arms. He hums and shakes his head.

"The poison was meant to make my body weak, and my mind clouded. Basically it was meant to subdue me so they could capture me. My human form isn't strong enough to fight it off, which is why it almost killed me. It should be out of my system in a few hours as long as I have five or more tails out." He says and his right ear twitches slightly.

"Thank the Gods. Qiyana said her soldiers found their base." I say and he nods.

"When do we leave?" He asks and I shake my head.

"I! Leave tomorrow afternoon with a bigger group. You are to stay here because they want to capture you. This is an order from everyone Grey." I tell him and he frowns.

"Oh come on. No way in hell that's fair, the poison will be out of my system then." He says and I shake my head.

"No. That is final." I say and clench my fists.

"I'm going-" He begins and I punch the wall cracking it.

"No you are not! I'm not letting these bastards get another chance at getting you! I can't...I won't lose you!" I yell and glare up at him.

"Ahri." He says and I shake my head.

"If I have to break every bone in your body to stop you. I will." I say and he sighs.

"Okay." He says and holds his hands up. I let out a shaky breath as he heads into his room.

"Fuck." I whisper softly and hold my hand over my heart. I head into my room and go to sleep early. I want to be at my absolute best for tomorrow.

-Timeskip tomorrow afternoon-

I lean on the strategy table as they discuss how we're going to infiltrate this cave. "I say we push into their main cave and crush them." Yune says and I look at her.

"That would give them chances to escape Yune. I say we split up into a three pronged attack. If we come in from every entrance none of them can escape." Qiyana says and I nod.

"That's probably our best bet. Try and keep one alive to find out why they want Grey." I add and Calysto nods.

"Yes. I feel like Ahri and Katarina should lead the main force. What they did to Grey will make them a nightmare to deal with. Kimberly and I will take a small group to the left tunnel. Dad and Garen will take the right tunnel. We'll force them into a kill zone we control." Calysto says and we nod.

"Alright. Let's move people." I say and push off of the table. I walk out with Katarina by my side and Grey's friends right behind us. We get into position and watch for the signal. I see a flare being shot into the air and we rush towards the cave. But as we enter I stop and gag slightly. Bodies lay all around the cave, some impaled into the wall by bones, and some even cleaved in half. Blood paints the walls and some even drips down from the ceiling. I look at Katarina who nods to me.

"Whoever came in through here is a heartless psycho." She says.

"Yes. We need to hurry and stop them before they kill everyone." I say and we begin to move faster. After what feels like an eternity we can hear screaming. As we enter the main cavern my eyes widen as Grey is here.

-Grey POV-

I toss a cultists corpse to the side pulling my blade free. "She's right! You are a monster!" One yells as I walk forward. I can see about twelve more standing, and I made sure to keep one knocked out for interrogation.

"Are you crazy?! She never said he was this strong!" Another says shakily as I crack my neck.

"Oh come on. Don't tell me you want to give up already. You dumb bastards wanted me so bad, well here I am." I say calmly and spread my arms out. One lets out a scream and runs at me with a halberd.

"No!" A female yells and reaches out to him. I scoff and smack my five tails on the ground. As the man gets close to me spikes of bones burst from the ground impaling him. I walk up to him as he weakly gasps for air.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. If you're not smart you're strong...but if you're neither...you might as well just curl up and die." I tell him before walking past. I look at the remaining eleven only to watch as a knife hits one between the eyes. I look back to see Katarina and Ahri storming up to me. I shake my head and begin to back away from them.

"What the absolute fuck are you doing here?!" Katarina asks and I hold my hands up.

"Woah. Let's just take a deep breath now I didn't want any of you getting hurt." I say quickly and back into someone. I turn and my ears go flat against my head as I look at Sinder.

"You are supposed to be in bed." She says calmly which absolutely terrifies me. I look to see Layla not even smirking at me, and Yune cracking her knuckles.

"You are in so much trouble you bastard!" Yune yells and I sigh.

"Sorry." Is all I say and look as Omega walks into the area and easily dispatches the remaining enemies. "The one trapped in the barrel is alive. We can question him." I say and they look at me. I gasp in agony as my heart feels like it's being torn to shreds. I fall to one knee and hold my chest.

"Grey?!" Ahri yells as she and Katarine rush to my side.

"I'm alright." I say and spit out a glob of blood. "I need to release my Magic Build Up." I say and they help support me.

"You're going to rest first then we'll discuss that. Then we'll talk about how you blatantly disregarded your Mother and Katarina." Ahri says and I roll my eyes.

"Excuse me bitch. He's MY son." Katarina growls as we walk.

-??? POV-

"Ma'am! The Key killed everyone but Axel!" My subordinate says and I sigh.

"Why must you be so difficult Little One?" I ask myself and turn to her. "Then we stay in hiding. In one month we'll launch our attack on Ixtal. We'll force him to come to us, and then we'll capture him. We need him so we can draw out his magic to release the true Goddess." I say and she nods. "Remember that Lilith will reward us for our loyalty." I say and she nods.

"Yes Mistress. I will inform everyone immediately." She says and runs out of the room. I walk to my desk and grab my shotgun. I open a portal and head through it with a smile on my face.

-Wow. So Grey has some crazy bone magic and has shown to be a heartless killer. I wonder why he shook his head when confronted by everyone. Soon we'll see just how much damage Grey can do. But who is this woman and why does she need Grey to open a portal? Who is Lilith?! Where the fuck did she go?!?!-
