Victoria G: What inspired you to become an actor?

Tommy Surpitski: I've always liked being influenced by film and television. Being able to escape into an imaginary world is such a wonderful experience, so I became an actor to help others feel that same sense of wonder.

VG: Who are your acting inspirations?

TS: Robert Downey Jr. and J.K. Simmons

VG: What is your favorite thing about acting?

TS: My favorite part of acting is getting to meet and work with new actors and crew members.

VG: What was your first acting job?

TS: In my first acting job in film/TV, I played a choir member in the movie The Holdovers.

VG: What is your favorite project you have ever done?

TS: Working on The Holdovers was my favorite project that I've worked on so far. There were a lot of moving parts, but it was a lot of fun!

VG: What are some qualities you look for in a project?

TS: When working on a project, I like to see passion and effort from everyone involved as well as respect and proper treatment of one another.

VG: Which character that you have played so far has been the most similar to you?

TS: Because of my age range, I've been playing a lot of high school/college students. It's been especially easy to relate to the pressures those characters endure given I've experienced them myself.

VG: How would you describe yourself in three words?

TS: Ambitious, determined, motivated.

VG: Where do you see yourself in ten years?

TS: In ten years, I hope to be steadily working on acting projects with a considerable number of projects already under my belt.

VG: What are three qualities every actor should have?

TS: Every actor should have patience, motivation, and discipline.

VG: Do you have any advice for an aspiring actor?

TS: The process of becoming an actor can take a long time, but with consistent effort, you will encounter new opportunities to further your career.

VG: What's next for you?

TS: Currently, I'm working on updating my acting profiles to be more marketable in the industry. First up: new headshots!

TS: A lack of effort.

TS: I'm surprisingly good at climbing things.

TS: I can sing (if that counts).

TS: Watching movies.

TS: I do not.

TS: Being lost at sea.
