Jasmiya's POV
Mommy and Daddy had taken me out to the garden of food(restaurant) for family eating.
After eating,I came to the water fountain as mom and dad talked.I was playing with the water when I noticed a boy sitting on the bench with his head lowered.
I walked over to him
Miya:hi,am Miya(he didn't respond) I notice you are sad,there is a cool water fountain, wanna see?
(No response)
Miya: it's okay to be sad,here(I brought out a coin) mommy and daddy don't believe in water fountains but I do,throw it and make a wish, your wish will come through.
(He finally looked up at me and took the coin.He got up,we went to the fountain and he throwed the coin in)
Kade:it didn't work
Miya:you have got to wait it out
Kade:you are a liar,my parents are still dead.
Miya:oh am sorry
Kade:no you are a liar (he said angrily)
Miya:am sorry,I didn't know your parents were dead(I began to feel sad.He stared at me with angry eyes)
Miya: don't look at me like that
Kade:you deserve that and more(he shooved me into the water fountain, causing me to burst into tears.It wasn't deep.I came out crying)
Miya:all I did was be nice to you,you are mean (I shivered.I ran off to my parents.Dad carried me as I cried onto his shoulder)
Kade's POV
I instantly regretted what I did to her.Seeing the tears stroll down her chubby cheeks broke my heart.
But I needed to be strong.Jack my bodyguard came in.
Jack: I saw what you did to the little girl,it wasn't nice.
Kade:it doesn't matter
Jack:yes it does, she was being nice to you,you have returned the favor
Kade:am the future mafia king,am not supposed to be nice.
Jack: fine but you are still a child.you are only 8,You haven't gotten to that stage yet,you made that little girl cry and all she did was show you kindness.dont you feel ashamed?
(I became silent.)
Miya's POV
We came home,I was still sad.Latif's family had come over.
Latif: don't be sad Miya
Miya:he was very rude.
Latif:you shouldn't mind him
Miya:but he hurt my feelings
Latif: don't worry,am here to fix it(he hugged me.Our parents came in)
Latif's mom:aww,the future husband and wife.
Miya:no! We are just friends
Latif: best friends
(That night,I heard a knock on my window.I became scared and grabbed teddy.I walked over to the window only to see a shadow.I immediately hit the monster with my teddy)
Kade:hey it's me
Miya:you?
Kade:yes me
Miya: what are you doing here?
Kade:am here to apologise for being rude to you, please accept my gift (he gave me a rose.My eyes widened with excitement)
Miya: thank you(I hugged him.He looked at me funny)
Kade: I will get going
Miya:will I see you again?(I couldn't help but feel sad that he was leaving)
Kade:sure.
