Chapter Eight - Weekend

Finally it was the weekend and we were all going to hang out in Hogsmeade. The Third Years were going for the first time. I could remember mine and the twins, it ended up with them getting a telling off from the owner of Zonkos.

When I entered the Common Room from my Dormitory I could hear all the Third Years talking about Hogsmeade. I smiled "Looking forward to seeing Hogsmeade?" I asked them. Susan and Hannah nodded "So much, which is better, Zonkos or Honeydukes?" Susan asked me.

I thought for a moment "I like both, they both have a variety of totally different things, but I'd probably say Zonkos, I love sugar quills" I smiled. Hannah nodded "Zonkos first then" she said. I smiled "Good choice" I said as I spotted Raven stretched out in front of the fire with a few other cats and even a few Puffskeins.

"Come on you lazy sods" I said as I passed Nate, Lyra, Oliver, Freya and Ophelia splayed out over the other sofa. I frowned "Where's Mel..." "Already with Georgie" Nate mimicked in a high pitched squeal. I sighed as they followed, slowly getting off the sofa.

Up in the Great Hall I took my seat next to Fred, much to Angelina's disappointment. "Morning" I chimed. "Someone's happy" Fred teased. I smiled at him "Because of you" I said, still hiding my feelings and overthinking. "I knew it" he said as he poured me a coffee while I grabbed some toast and jam. All the while Melba and George were being sickly adorable on the other side of Fred.

I had decided to push the 'almost kiss' to the back of my head. It wasn't good for me to keep thinking about it. It just made me feel miserable. I had noticed my hair was changing to blue, which meant I was upset. I had a good cry with Moaning Myrtle, she let me vent my frustration, and it made me feel better.

The other Hufflepuffs on the other hand were sat in random places either across or next to us. Oliver of course was trying to flirt with Angelina. He either did like her, or he was just trying to get attention, but he always flirted with her, but she kept giving heart eyes to Fred who was so use to it he shrugged it off.

"So Zonko's first, we're needing to stock up for a few pranks" Fred said. "Of course you do, wouldn't be Hogwarts without you too pranking" I chuckled. "Exactly" George spoke from the other side of Fred as the Trio sat across from us, wedging themselves between Freya and Ophelia. It was quiet, only a few handfuls of people dotted about, everyone had either had breakfast or were having lie ins.

"What do you want?" I heard the Twins ask their youngest brother as Melba excused herself. "We need to talk to Aurora" Hermione said. I frowned as I sipped my coffee "About what? Divination?" I asked knowing they were new to the lesson "Rory is really good, got the right soul according to Trelawney" Ophelia spoke. "About your connection to Lupin" Ron said. I felt my blood run cold as I looked at the staff table only to see Professor Sprout and Professor Flitwick.

I looked at my fellow Hufflepuffs before I looked at Fred "I heard you call him Uncle Remus" Harry said. I huffed "You eavesdropped in on a private conversation? Is nothing personal anymore?" I said as Fred rubbed my back. "You're also Sirius Black's daughter" Ron spoke. "Great, going to shout it from the rooftops? Next you'll be wondering why I punched my cousin" I said.

"You never listen in to a conversation that does NOT involve you" Nate said sternly. "Hold on... Malfoy is your..." Ron started "Third cousin, or second, once removed, his mum - Narcissa, is a Black, making her Sirius' cousin" I spoke. "You had no right to eavesdrop" Fred said.

"Thought you were better than that Harry" George said shaking his head. "Disgraceful Potter" Oliver said. "Lupin is my Godfather, I've always called him Uncle, excuse me" I spoke as I stood up and left, hearing everyone tell Harry off for listening in to something that was both private and didn't concern him.
