Volume 1 Chapter 4: Top Dog Touya!

On her way to homeroom she caught the attention of everyone in the hallways. Except for a small group of demons harassing a kid with gold rings on his fingers? He was being beaten up for fun? She stopped walking and went into a dead sprint. She leaped into the air and decked the leader in the face. She covered her fist in ice at the last second. She landed unevenly and just before she recovered. One of the thugs clocked her across the face. But she struggled against his strength as she set on fire. "Leave this kid alone. This school is under my control as of today." She snarled aggressively like a wild wolf. The kid's hand set on fire with red flames. The other one tried to use his magic of wind. But then she switched to ice and froze him in place. He was unable to manipulate the wind with his hands. The leader got up from the ground and barked insults at her. She leaned back and laughed at his threats. "My name is Touya Naberius. And like I said to your buddy. I'm on top now, not you." He barked more insults but they just bounced off her body. His Magic of cutting words wasn't working. She snapped her fingers and ice spread throughout the hallway and covered up their bodies, minus their heads. She crouched down a little. "What's up, dude? I'm Touya Naberius. What's your name?" His mouth was filled with blood he tried to speak but he was fucked up. She reached out her hand. "Do I have your permission to use my magic on you? I can heal you if you want?" He grabbed her hand and as she pulled him up to his feet. His body was caressed and hugged by emerald flames.

Touya saw a group of teachers and smirked deviously as she increased her grip on his hand as she pulled him along around the corner. She sprinted down the hallway and created a wall of ice to help them escape capture. They both ran up the stairs to the rooftop. She let go of his hand and spun around to face him. He was in awe at how cool she was. And how in control she was with her magic. "What's your name? You never got to tell me?" He began to fidget, he was super shy and intimidated by her whole deal. "There's no need to fear me. I don't just attack anyone. I only attack those who harass the weak and helpless. I see myself as a hero for the underdog demons." She was so proud of herself and very confident. He lacked all those things. "Jazz M. Andro. But you can call me Jazz, if you want?" He yelped at the feeling of her placing her hand on his hunched shoulder. "Cheer up! We are now officially friends!" He looked at her sideways.

Jazz and Touya were classmates and he escorted her around the school. Mostly because he feared saying no to someone so strong. He was weak and small. And he didn't have control over his magic in the slightest. He was instantly targeted for his lack of confidence and power. But ever since she made that very violent statement this morning. He hasn't been touched with violence or even looked at the wrong way. That's until lunch time came around. A huge gang of demons, mostly seniors crowded around them two at their selected table in the middle of the cafeteria. She continued to eat her food and then gulped down her entire drink as the holes of the group demons got filled with more adversaries. She stood up and looked over at Jazz and winked. "Just continue to eat. I won't be long." She created a barrier of flame around her friend and then walked towards the largest demon of the huge group. "My dad is the guard dog of Bablys and my uncle is a border security demon. Our clan of Hellhounds take our roles very seriously. And whenever I say I'm the top dog, I mean it!" She punched the ground and a huge earthquake of ice and flames cut through the ground of the cafeteria. But the destruction wasn't random. Only the thugs were frozen in place and then their limbs were incinerated soon after. She stood up and stared at the boss of the now half alive group of devil's. "Now you have two options. Do you want to surrender and I'll heal your pals here. Or you can die alongside them, if you don't." He fell to his knees trembling. She smirked smugly at him, groveling and begging for mercy. Her soles set on fire with emerald green flames. Everyone who was writhing in pain. Was healed and spared of a potential dreadful demise. She sauntered over to her table in the middle. She dismissed the barrier and sat down next to her new friend. She held out her Hellphone,"We should exchange numbers." He entered his number out of fear, he didn't want to be killed.

The bell squawked, the day ended on a good note. On Touya's way to her security demon. The same group of demons bowed their heads in her direction. "You defeat us in battle. You are our new master!" She looked at them annoyed. "No thanks. I'm not a fan of that kind of thing. But how about this, you keep everyone out of my way. And I won't kill you. Sounds good?" They all nodded their heads quickly. She put her arm around Jazz,"If anyone messes with him. You'll pay with blood. He's my new ally and comrade." They all continued to bow in her direction. She released Jazz and walked towards her security demon. "I'll see you tomorrow, Jazzy." He blushed bright red in the face at her, giving him a cute nickname. She held out a high five. "I made a new comrade and took over half the school in one day." She received a head pat. "Good girl. Are you ready for your afternoon training?" She looked up at him excited. He blew smoke into her face but she didn't react. She was used to the smell of smoke in her face.

Kalego heard the door open and a really exhausted and dirty Touya stumbled into the house. He closed the door with magic for her. She shut down and collapsed to the ground. Kalego was doing paperwork and drinking black bitter coffee. But the instant she hit the ground, he set down his stuff and rushed over. She was barely breathing. "Dad?" He picked her up and laid her down on the couch to rest. He conjured a bottle of water. "Drink this, Touya." She reached out but her hands shook as she tried to close them. He guided her head upward and back as he fed her some water. "I've got you. Just relax." She swallowed the water and then was laid back down gently. "How did school go?" He conjured a chair to sit on. "Great. I made a new friend and I took over the school as mine. In one day. I hope I made you proud, dad…" She passed out cold. He rested his hand on her head and felt she had a fever. "I'm proud but also worried about you. You are so reckless." He went to get something cold to cool her off.

Touya landed nicely on the grounds of her middle school. Her red flames left behind black smoke. Infrit said goodbye to his pupil and took off to go to work. She was feeling less burned out today. She was quickly getting used to the very long track of getting to school from home. She saw Jazz being bullied by a group of demons not in the know. Maybe they were absent? She sighed heavily as she stomped on the ground. The Demons were frozen in place. Jazz was grabbed by the hand by a familiar figure. “Hey, Jazzy! Let's go,  get a drink or something. I'm a bit parched.” He was pulled away from the demon's struggling with the ice.

Everyone avoided Jazz and Touya eye contact and personal space. Out of fear and necessity to survive. The Naberius family is no joke. It's clear that the rumors about them are true. They were given a wide berth as they entered the cafeteria. There was a very loud commotion happening in the middle 0f the very spacious facility. She snarled deeply at this sight. Horns of black ice began to materialize. “Hey, Jazzy? Can you get us some grub and a spot to sit? I'm going to crush some skulls.” 

Touya walked over and decided to take a short cut. She rocketed over the heads of the imps and landed in front of the injured girl with lime green hair. She created a several inch thick wall of ice to block the incoming kick. “I've changed my mind about something. Those who don't behave in my territory, are going to regret it. If you have something to say or rage to take out on someone. I FUCKING DARE YOU TO FUCK AROUND AMD FIND OUT! I don't tolerate unnecessary violence. I'm the top dog of the school, not you thugs.” Her curved  oni horns set on fire with blue flames. “Now scatter before I lose my temper!” They all fucked off. Leaving her alone with the injured girl.

Touya crouched down and held out her right hand in her direction and asked if she was alright. The girl looked up hesitantly as she was crying and shaking in fear.
