-TWO MONTHS LATER-

"Oh, come on, Danny!" I groaned, as he refused to let me go outside the door.

"I'm sorry, Lei, but Flo said to stay here. And as much as I don't like babysitting, you're special. We don't want to see you get hurt."

I sighed and pleaded with him.

"Please? I'll stay safe! Remember I'm a qualified agent and no ghost will be able to touch me. I promise!!!! Besides, it's 3 hours until curfew."

I gave him the baby doll eyes and Danny groaned.

"Lei...It's too dangerous!" he looked away from my eyes.

I huffed and flopped down on my bed.

Right now, Danny and I were seated on the Matilda because Flo was away on a relic hunting trip. I stared up at the ceiling and noticed little things out of the corners of my eyes.

Danny sat down on a stool, looking exhausted.

I waited until his eyes were fully closed and then...

He started snoring.

Yes! Now's my chance!

I quickly got off the bed, strapped my rapier to my belt, and walked out the door.

The soft and muddy moss clung to the bottoms of my boots as I clomped down the river bank. After an hour later, I managed to find my way into Marylebone and walked over to a shop called, 'Arif's'.

I walked into a tiny shop and looked around it in wonder.

All different kinds of donuts were spread out everywhere. From blue iced with rainbow sprinkles to chocolate fudge with cream on the inside of the donut.

"Whoa..." I muttered, turning my head before crashing into someone.

I fumbled to find my footing and said, "Oh my God! I'm so sorry-"

The person chuckled and told me, "It's all right. I wasn't paying attention either."

I quickly looked up and my heart almost stopped. A pair of warm chocolate brown eyes melted my heart a little. His brown hair was styled to perfection and dam, he was tall.

He stood about 4 inches taller than me.

I realized I had been staring for quite a while and heat rushed to my cheeks.

"Again, I'm sorry. My name's Ryleigh Taylor." I stuck my hand out in an attempt to make a friend.

The boy shook my hand. "Anthony. Anthony Lockwood."

"Well, Anthony, I might see you around. Have a marvelous day!" I smiled and waved at him before leaving the shop.

Lockwood's POV:

I stood in Arif's shop admiring all of the donuts when someone bumped into me.

I turned to see who it was and my eyes widened slightly.

A beautiful girl stood in front of me trying to maintain her balance and my heart raced.

Her black hair fell in waves over her shoulders and her light tan skin was perfect. She was a few inches shorter than me but I didn't mind.

"Oh my God! I'm so sorry-" she apologized but I chuckled and told her, "It's all right. I wasn't paying attention either."

We studied each other for a minute before her cheeks flushed pink and she stuck out her hand.

"Again, I'm sorry. My name's Ryleigh Taylor."

She smiled at me with her warm cocoa brown eyes and my stomach flipped.

I reached out and shook her hand.

"Anthony. Anthony Lockwood."

God, her hands were small and soft...

After shaking her hand, I let go of it and she said, "Well, Anthony, I might see you around. Have a marvelous day!"

Ryleigh walked out of the shop after waving at me.

Ryleigh...

Ryleigh Taylor.....

Lucy's POV:

I sat at the dining table, with a biscuit in my mouth, scribbling furiously on the Thinking Cloth.

I heard the door open and shut so I called out, "Lockwood, bring me a bloody donut, will ya?"

As soon as Lockwood walked into the dining room, I knew something had happened to him. Well, for one, he had this big crazed grin on his face. And another, he was humming. Like actually humming.

"Uh, George. Get over here please." I called out, watching Lockwood's expression.

He looked unbelievably happy and he started drifting off into space, staring into a corner of the room.

"What do you bloody want now, Luce?" George grumbled stepping into the kitchen.

I slowly pointed at Lockwood and George stared at him.

"Lockwood."

No response.

"Lockwood."

Still no response.

"LOCKWOOD!"

Finally, he snapped to attention and said, "Yeah?"

Then I realized what was happening to Lockwood.

I gasped.

"You met someone...." I grinned.

Lockwood's cheeks flushed. "Sort of."

"What's the name??! What's the name??!"

"Ryleigh Taylor." he sighed dreamily.

I grinned wider and George just stared at Lockwood.

"What the f-"
