THE SILENCE overwhelmed the both of you when the words left your mouth. Togame had widened his eyes in shock that you challenged him to possibly one of the most secretive things he held. Not even his three closest friends knew the whole story about his ex.

He recollected his thoughts after being thrown off from your response.

"Wow, is somebody jealous?"

You scoffed at his face. "No of course not. I'm just curious what happened to you and her is all." You genuinely shook your head negatively. He hummed lowly and tried searching deeper into your eyes to see if you were bluffing.

To his dismay, he couldn't find anything.

In defeat, he sighed rather loudly and leaned back into the chair once again, crossing his arms against his chest. "Alright, if that's what you want."

"So what's the bet?" You asked now continuing the topic. If there was wagers, it wouldn't be complete without something to lose.

"I didn't think that far ahead."

"Huh?! Why would you set up something so serious without a plan!"

He shrugged without much care, "Hey don't blame me, this was rushed [Name]."

"You better think of one by the end of today then. Otherwise, the bet is over." You threatened him bringing the cup to your lips and drinking the remaining [Drink].

He waved his hand dismissively, "Yeah, yeah. Don't be so worried. Although I would be prepared to lose if I were you." He smirked at you with tired eyes.

"You're so full of yourself. Trust me, Togame—I am not losing."

"Yeah?" He cocked his head to the side raising a brow.

"I'll just wait to see the look on your face when you confess to me why you got no friends."

Your lips curled into a smile now mimicking his cocky behaviour, "Trust me. The moment you realize you've lost, you'll be coming back to me blabbering about how much you miss your ex." You tried riling him up.

Your initial thoughts was that his ex was somebody he lost due to his reckless behaviour. In reality, you could tell that Jo Togame was a fairly attractive man—if not probably the hottest talk of the school he was attending. You never dared to admit he was handsome but from what you could assume, he already knew that. It was no wonder why he had an ex lover, you didn't mind it if you were being honest.

Suddenly, he hummed. "I miss her sometimes." His eyes shifted away from yours with a genuine tone of voice.

The smirk from your lips vanished. Sure the both of you weren't anything more than friends, but hearing him fawn over an ex lover made you slightly tense...

"Oh." You looked away cowardly.

You hit yourself on the head for sounding rather shaken from the fact he spoke about his ex-girlfriend so carelessly.

You didn't even like the man for Pete's sake!

His eyes travelled back to your face, "What? Didn't expect that?"

"...Well people don't normally talk so highly about their ex. Kazuyuki would cry for days the moment he heard another person bring up his ex-girlfriend..." You recalled back when in middle school the green-haired kid had a relationship with another girl in his class that lasted for only 3 days till she called it off.

"News flash [Name], I'm not your little boyfriend."

"He's not my boyfriend!" You defended myself from his assumption, "...He's more of a younger brother to me. He's too stupid to ever make me be attracted to him."
