Chapter 0: Prologue

Six months ago...

It was a cool, windy night in the woods. A young five-year-old girl with ghostly shits, pale skin, and golden slit pupil eyes with dark blue markings above them. She had short, light blue silky hair that stopped at her shoulders and was outside watching the stars spark in the sky.

Her name is Hoshiko Yashagoro, the younger twin sister of Drago Otsutsuki. Who were the only children of Hoshi Otsutsuki a well-known medic for mutants, and Orochimaru, a mutant who enjoys science and once went to Professor Sarutobi's school for mutants with his old friends Tsunade and Jairya. Professor Sarutobi was a good friend of Professor Xavier who also runs a school for mutants.

Hoshiko though wasn't your avenge mutant. She was gifted with very unique powers that her family tried to keep a well-hidden secret. However, that power of hers ended up costing the life of her and Drago's mother and bringing her world to be full of misery and lack of hope.

"So pretty," Hoshiko said in awe as she gazed up at the stars.

"Haven't you been taught not to have your guard down especially when out this late?" A voice asked from behind Hoshiko, causing her to flinch at the voice.

Hoshiko turned to see a man with orange spiky hair with strange purple eyes standing behind her and walking towards her.

"Who are you?" Hoshiko asked nervously backing away from him.

"Name Pain and you're coming with me," Pain said lifting a hand as he suddenly lifted Hoshiko in the air.

"Leave me alone!" Hoshiko screamed in fear.

"Let my daughter go!" Hoshi shouted rushing Pain and knocking him to the ground as Hoshiko was caught by a silver hair boy with glass around eleven years old.

"You're safe," The boy said.

"Kabuto-nii," Hoshiko whispered leaning into her savior's chest.

"The girl coming with me," Pain said sending Hoshi flying off of him and directly into a sharp rock making her cough roughly.

"Never," Hoshi said weakly standing up and holding her chest.

"Hoshi!" A male voice called out.

Hoshiko glanced to see her father rushing over with a young boy around Hoshiko's age in his arms.

"Oro and Kabuto get Hoshiko to safety don't let anything happen to her," Hoshiko said coughing as she charged at Pain.

"She not going anywhere," Pain stated.

"No, you do!" Orochimaru exclaimed lifting his arm as he placed his son on his shoulder before and formed a large brown serpent to carry Kabuto and Hoshiko away on her back.

"Goodbye my children," Hoshi whispered watching her family leave for safety as she aimed to attack Pain with the last of her strength.

It has now been six months since Pain's attack attempting to capture Hoshiko. Ever since then, Hoshiko had suffered from frequent nightmares of nearly being captured by Pain and the thought of being responsible for her mother's passing.

Hoshiko now spent most of their time playing in the forest of her family's new hideout where they have been staying to keep hidden from threats for Hoshiko's safety.

"What do you think you're doing?" Drago asked walking over to his twin sister playing with a white snake."You know you're not supposed to be alone outside," He said.

"It's fine nobody around," Hoshiko said softly.

They both turned around to see a familiar pale-skinned man with long Raven hair and golden snake eyes coming their way with way. Following him was Kabuto.

"Hoshiko come here now!" Orochimaru commanded.

"What's wrong?" Hoshiko asked.

"Now move behind me," He repeated.

Hoshiko nodded and rushed behind him sensing something was wrong. As soon as she did she saw a red-haired man come out of from behind the trees wearing a black cloak with red clouds on it.

"You that cloak your with the Pain fellow aren't you," Orochimaru said keeping Hoshiko behind him for safety.

"Sharp not surprising given who you are after all," the hair man said.

"I know you as well it Sasori the deadly Master of puppets and even a puppet yourself that your mutation, correct?" Orochimaru sated.

"Know your facts so then you know we want the girl, but luckily I'm not here for her, "Sasori said.

"I don't know what you want, but want do you say I join you on your quest?" Orochimaru asked.

"Let him," A voice said as Pain walked forward.

"What?" Hoshiko and Drago both questioned.

Orochimaru glanced at Hoshiko smiling before injecting her with a sleeping poison and whispering in her ear."I'm sorry for this and everything else in the future, but it's only to find out what they plan to use you for."

That was the last thing Hoshiko heard before her eyes closed soon to bare a fate worse than her mother's passing.

Here we have chapter 0 known as the prologue of Serpent Lost Hope. In this chapter, Hoshiko is nearly captured by Pain until her mother sacrifices herself to protect her from harm. However, six months later Sasori shows up and Orochimaru joins to see what they have planned for Hoshiko. I hope you enjoy the chapter despite not showing real Hoshi mutant powers.
