"Be my disciple? I don't take in disciples. Besides, do you think I would accept a Foundation Establishment stage female cultivator as my disciple? Considering our past acquaintanceship, I won't hold your presumptuousness against you this time. Take care of yourself!" Han Li coldly rejected the beautiful woman who had suddenly appeared before him.

"Senior! I..." The woman surnamed Mu showed a hint of panic on her face upon hearing Han Li's words and hurriedly tried to say something more. However, with a gentle flick of his sleeve, Han Li conjured a gust of wind that sent her staggering. The words she was about to utter were forced back down by the strong wind.

By the time she steadied herself and looked around for Han Li again, he had already vanished without a trace.

Seeing this, the woman was left standing in place, dejected, unwilling to leave. After all, this "Senior Han" who had suddenly appeared was her only lifeline now.

Meanwhile, Han Li had reappeared inside the small stone mountain cave, heading directly to the insect room without hesitation. There, he kept nearly ten thousand golden-red Devouring Gold Bugs. These bugs had hatched over twenty years ago and had further evolved.

The silver spots on these bugs' shells had shrunk to pin-sized dots. Without close inspection, one would not notice the faint silver gleam in the gold.

This indicated that these Devouring Gold Bugs were just a step away from full maturity.

Han Li felt a mix of excitement and slight disappointment.

Despite this, the ferocity of these nearly golden bugs had astonished Han Li. He had once placed over a hundred three-colored Devouring Gold Bugs together with the newly evolved golden bugs. In moments, the three-colored bugs were devoured completely by their larger counterparts.

These new bugs far surpassed the three-colored ones in both devouring ability and body toughness. As they approached maturity, they began to emit a terrifyingly fierce aura and developed a taste for blood, becoming incredibly bloodthirsty and brutal compared to their former selves.

Han Li believed that without the prior application of control spells, these bugs would undoubtedly have turned against him.

Even so, Han Li sensed signs of the new Devouring Gold Bugs slipping out of control.

It seemed that after another evolution, ordinary control methods would be insufficient to manage these ferocious bugs.

Despite these thoughts, Han Li continued his usual practice, isolating and nurturing the largest of the gold-silver bugs to hasten their maturation. He hoped to see them evolve into the legendary mature spirit bugs of ancient times.

Based on the increasingly lengthy evolution cycles, it might take over a hundred years for these bugs to reach their final stage. However, this interim period would give Han Li the time to find better methods to control these spirit bugs.

While contemplating this, Han Li carefully stored the Devouring Gold Bugs and then went to the herb garden to move the Spiritual Eye Tree, which had grown nearly as tall as him, and the Nine-Turn Spiritual Ginseng.

There wasn't much to say about the Nine-Turn Spiritual Ginseng; although it had lost a lot of its vitality due to recent pill concocting, Han Li had restored most of it using the green liquid. It was now in good condition.

As for the Spiritual Eye Tree, after years of nurturing, it was close to producing its first batch of spirit liquid.

Han Li eagerly anticipated using this spirit liquid to produce large quantities of Bright-Clear Spirit Water to wash his eyes and see what new abilities he might gain.
