"Himiko. Can you hand me that wrench?"
The six year old nodded, before handing Deku a cordless drill, Deku laughed softly as he grabbed the wrench himself, having his daughter in his lab wasn't the most helpful, but he really loved being around his children. He was repairing one of Ochako's wings, wondering how she managed to break them at a benefit. His wife did love to show off.. He wished she would slow down, they had three kids now, and Katsuki had only agreed to be the girls' god father on the condition that they be careful not to die. Deku also knew he wouldn't talk Ochako into retiring so he just worked on her wings. He frowned when he heard a scream up stairs, picking Himiko up and running up the stairs with his daughter on his hip.
"Ocha what-"
"Yue! She's gone! She-she was in my arms and she just vanished!"Deku frowned her quirk must have come in.. but if she were invisible, Ochako would feel her in her arms, teleportation? Deku frowned
"Toshinori!""I am here."
"Scan the premises for Yue.""Baby c is not on the premises."
Deku felt his blood run cold, where was his little girl? He had no idea what to do.. He could update Toshinori to better scan the area but really he just felt hopeless.. The city was so big, and he couldn't even be sure if she was in Musutafu. He couldn't 'be sure she was in Japan!
Ochako sighed, "I'm going to call the police."
Deku nodded, "I'll call Kacchan and Tenya.. Maybe they can think of something."
Ochako nodded "good idea."Deku sighed "We'll find her, okay? We will."
****Sixteen Years Prior
Deku was quiet as he sat in his house and thought about Himiko Toga, she had walked away from him, into the arms of a hero, only to end up dead. He wished he could say it pissed him off, made him hate heroes even more, but it really just made him sad. He rarely got out of bed, and if he did he didn't work on anything, not that anyone really wanted any of his stupid inventions anyways. He frowned when he heard what sounded like a baby crying. He groaned, he was losing his mind. He stood up, climbing out of bed with a huff. Rubbing his eyes as he went towards the noises. They kept getting louder and louder he frowned how did a baby get into his house? He frowned as he lifted it up into his arms, did she have a teleportation quirk? She must be so scared! He frowned, hesitating as he stared at her, cocking his head to the side. He felt a pretty intense urge to lift her into his arms and cuddle her, but he didn't know where she had been. What if she bit him? She kept crying, she looked so slimy.. Deku sighed, he wanted her to go away, part of him was waiting for her to teleport away and become someone else's problem, but she just sat there, shrieking. The longer he looked at her, the more perplexed he became, she had unruly green hair, pulled into an Allmight scrunchie freckles, and an Allmight onesie. He supposed that lots of people liked Allmight, lots of people had green hair and freckles, but.. the fact that she ended up in his house made him uneasy. He couldn't have a baby, could he? He didn't exactly play the field, and he would have known if Toga had given birth to his child before she died, wouldn't he? Besides.. she would have been dead before this kid was born, wouldn't she? He huffed, the baby was still screaming. He wanted to throw it out of the window. No Izuku. You cannot throw babies out of windows. You cannot bash their little heads against counters or shake them. That's bad. But if it's my baby.. It's not. It can't be. I'm really going insane. Really truly going insane. Is my subconscious telling me it wants a baby? Because I sure as fuck can't have a baby right now. Well it looks like you have one. No. No. It will go away. It has to. It will go away.
Deku looked at the baby, sitting on the floor, frowning as she stood up and staggered awkwardly towards him, what the hell? She could walk? He wouldn't have sat down if he knew the thing could walk. No. No. It was touching him touching him slimy little fingers on his face. He cringed, pulling away as the baby's sobs subsided. Thank goodness."Daddy!"
Deku's heart sank, so he was responsible for this child. He supposed it wasn't all bad, this baby's existence showed him that he would have a life after Toga. He would meet someone else, he would have a family. He wasn't sure how he felt about that. Toga had only been dead a few weeks, he supposed.. A hypothetical future, where he was happy and in love again wasn't completely out of the question. Still the sight of this child stung. She was adorable, the more he looked at her the more he wanted to snuggle her. He sighed, standing up and listening to the baby start to cry again. He huffed, putting his hands over his ears as she walked to him hands over her head as she stepped on her toes."Up. Up. Up daddy!"
Deku looked at her and cocked his head to the side, how old was she anyways? When did babies learn to walk? He googled it, so she was probably about a year old.. Huh. So he supposed Toga could be her mother, why would Toga hide a baby from him? Was he really that big of a- No it takes a year for a baby to be born. He would have noticed. He would have. This had to be a dream. He hesitated, bending over and lifting the baby into his arms."What's your name?"
"Baby."
"What is baby's name?"
"Mama.""Alright. Baby it is."
"Puppy.""Yep." Deku rolled his eyes as he carried her to the kitchen. He had no idea what he was doing, but he didn't want to hurt her parent's ability to find her by moving her. He sighed, he needed to buy diapers. How was he supposed to buy diapers? What did these things eat? Maybe he should just take it to the police or something, but for some reason the idea of giving her to anyone else scared him.
He held her in his arms. He turned on his tv for the baby, rolling his eyes.
"Ingenium awaits his long time girlfriend's recovery in the wake of the accident that shook Musutafu everyone was talking about Uravity, no one cared about Himiko. All the effort she put into bettering herself for what? To end up an unidentifiable corpse at the scene of a tragedy. He reached for the remote as the news station started to show a slideshow of pictures of Uravity, talking about everything she had done for Musutafu, and at such a young age! Every time he saw her on screen it made him sick."Mama." the baby yelled
Deku's heart fell from his chest. No. No. Okay. So this is a baby. She called herself mama earlier. Surely this was the same thing. Right? She didn't know what was going on. He couldn't possibly start a family with the woman who killed Toga.. He would never.. He had had a soft spot for her at one point. She was pretty. What was he doing? If this baby was his child with Uravity, than.. he didn't want her to exist.
"Mamamama! Mama!" the baby was in a much better mood now, and Deku felt like throwing up. She had the same big brown eyes, as Uravity, the same round face, the same pink fingertips. No. No. No! How could he do this? He felt himself crumbling, maybe he wasn't this baby's dad. She had been with Ingenium for years now, though this baby didn't look like Ingenium and he really doubted that anyone would confuse him for Tenya Iida even a toddler. He started sobbing, putting the baby on the floor as he buried his face in his hands. This child couldn't exist. He couldn't just let this happen! But what could he do? He looked at the baby. He hated her. He wanted her to disappear forever. He sighed, he certainly didn't want to take care of this little mistake. He couldn't hurt the baby.. Why not? Her mother had killed the woman he loved. He sighed, that wasn't the baby's fault. He couldn't hurt the baby. He wouldn't hurt the baby. He would hurt his future self if he ever showed his face though. Deku stared at the baby for a long while.
"I hate you." He sighed, the baby smiled at him
"Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!"
He sighed, shaking his head he had the moral backbone of a pocky stick didn't he? He couldn't hate this little girl. He didn't like that she existed, and he wanted to kick both of her parents' asses.. but he couldn't hate this baby, even if she was born of betrayal.
