the depth of the ocean calls to me
The lapping of thick, salty water
Pushing and pulling
But always returning to the source
I sink in

It is music to my soul
To dunk my head underwater
To drink from my Mother
To fight, and then surrender

You ask me where my love comes from

I let my breath escape my body
Carbon dioxide in h2o
Another thing that demands
To return home

I watch the bubbles rise to the surface
As they appear to turn from
Something to nothing

Wearing goggles that are
Too tight for my face and
Form blurred sun rays
We giggle together
Lifting up out of the water
And into the heat
We love together
