Taehyung Pov

"A shame... Another beautiful young woman had to die." muttered the coroner, looking at the body of the latest victim. Yoongi shook his head in annoyance.

"And if she had been ugly now, wouldn't it be a pity for her?" he asked the man slightly sourly.

"But I don't mean it like that..." he said apologetically, but Yoongi only cleared his throat snidely.

"Just leave it, man." I warned the guy and pulled Yoongi away from the corpse. We stopped a few meters away and I saw that Yoongi had calmed down a bit. Cases like this always got to him first, but instead of being able to shield all the horrible impressions well, they overwhelmed him and he became prickly.

Later, I would spend the night at my best friend and partner's house, drink 2-3 bottles of wine, talk about it and then he would cry in my arms until he fell asleep. Then I could cuddle him all night. Tomorrow he would be the same grumpy Yoongi as always. We'd always done it like that, ever since we'd met at the police academy and hit it off straight away, even though we couldn't be more different.

There was only one thing Yoongi didn't know... Lately, butterflies were dancing in my stomach when he cuddled up to me, each of his random touches left a pleasant tingling sensation and I constantly had to suppress the urge to just snog this cute human.

I knew him, he wasn't exactly spontaneous, he thought everything through 100 times before making decisions, he even planned his lunch for the whole month in advance, while I randomly reached into the ramen shelf in the store, heated it up and sometimes put in a few sausages. Except Yoongi took pity on me and gave me some of his own.

Even before I developed these feelings for him, I had already decided that I would marry him one day... that was when he shared his bento box with me for the first time. Or when he bent down in front of the filing cabinet and I saw his extremely hot ass... I didn't remember that exactly.

"Again, not a single clue, he didn't leave anything behind, it's like no one touched her..." he complained in frustration.

"The murders are happening at ever shorter intervals, we have to catch this psychopath," I said just as our conversation was interrupted.

"I have to correct, but the perpetrator is a sociopath, not a psychopath. Hello, I'm Kim Seokjin, I've been assigned to you as a profiler." A young man joined us and bowed briefly.

"Kim Taehyung and this is my partner Min Yoongi. What's the difference? Aren't they the same thing?" I introduced us.

"No, it's the complete opposite. Do you see how nicely he has dressed her up and put her on display? That's a sign of compassion and remorse. He probably didn't even want to kill her, but she did or said something that triggered him and so he took out all his anger and repressed feelings, satisfied his urges on her and then wanted to make it up to her. Maybe he also thought he was doing her a favor, I'd have to take a closer look at his cases. A psychopath, on the other hand, feels no remorse, he usually kills mercilessly, depersonalizes his victims, leaves them lying around carelessly or mutilates them beyond recognition. For him, his victims are objects that are only there for his needs," he explained and I nodded understandingly.

"Then what kind of was the Onenight Strangler?" I asked with interest.

"Park Jimin? Didn't you both catch him? He's a textbook psychopath." Seokjin said and Yoongi suddenly giggled.

"Well, if you were an object to him, then you must have been a dildo." he shared his thoughts with us, which made our new profiler watch us in confusion and I gave Yoongi a warning look. We had discreetly kept quiet about how far I had gone with his arrest.

"Okay, let's go to the station and talk about everything when we're done here." I quickly distracted from the topic and, luckily for me, they both nodded.
