CHAPTER 13

" what are you doing?" Matilda asked me " am mixing the components ".I said trying to mix the liquid that was inside." Well your mixing it the wrong way" Matilda said as she whisper yell so that the  physics lecturer won't sent us out. She took the mixture from me and started mixing the components.

" Hey rora" I turned around to see Matilda calling me " yeah what's up" I said raising my eyebrows " are you ok?, you have been zoning out recently.  " She said her face filled with concern. I looked at her, people has been asking me that same question  for the past weeks. " Yeah fine, there's just some things that has been happening in my life." I said truthfully, she looked at me and held my hands her blue gazing at me " just so you know I'll be here whenever you need me" she said and I was confused but smiled, Matilda was an angel , she didn't need a devil like me in her life.

I went to coffetti to work my shift. Customers has been going and coming and it has been a pretty hectic day, plus the weather has been chilling. " Hey rora" I heard Henry's voice call me my coworker call me his the same age as me but he attends different college . " Yep" I said, while I was making coffee for some customer, " someone out front is asking of you" he said and I raised my head, " who ?" I questioned him after I dropped the cup of espresso, " I don't know, but she's beautiful" I was confused gave henry the order of espresso to give the customer while I went to look at the person who was calling out for me.

I went to see that the person who was calling out for me was Mandy " what do you want?" I asked angrily, she looked beautiful with her blonde hair in waves and short  blue mini gown she worn with a high long  knee silver boots, with the silver jacket, if anyone sees her now, they will think she's going to a party. " Rora, we haven't been talking, am sorry for everything I said, I was hurt and.." " and what?" I cut her off " you thought you can vent your anger and hurt on me" I said as tears filled her eyes " you know what Mandy, you are right... Am selfish, I only care about my self, because I wanted to stay away from people like you a snake in a green grass" I said venomly." Rora, you don't get it I was angry, heartbroken and am very sorry because I said those mean words to you". She said as tears cascade her face. " Look Mandy you had your boyfriend issues and he broke you and you used the opportunity to lower the little self esteem  I got recently, well I got it now can you please leave I have a shift to go back too" I said with that went back to the cafe.

After I was done with my shift I went back to my dorm, where I know Mandy is waiting for me..., so she can apologize, that's what she's being doing for the past weeks. I brought out my keys and and opened the door to see no one in the living room. I sighed  great at least some peace and quiet and no fake apology.

I went to freshen up and and made a little bowl of spaghetti and meatballs for my dinner. After I was done, I went to get by physics notes, we had a lot of upcoming practicals this week and it's pretty hectic. I heard my phone ring and I saw the caller id  Nate.  I haven't seen him in the past week, I Felt goosebumps and I gulped my saliva before picking up my phone and answering it. " Hey aurora" I heard his deep voice and god, the things that happens to me " hey, what's up " I said while my face heat up " um have you seen my sister today, she hasn't been picking and am pretty worried" he said, oh his asking about Mandy " well I saw her earlier today at the cafe, but she's not at the dorm" I said  he didn't ask about me, just his sister " ok if you see her tell to call me okay " he said " Nate..., you know me and your sister are not on speaking terms, why would you ask that " I said calmly " I know aurora, but she's was meant to go to new York to meet mom with me, but she didn't and I was pretty worried not only me but my mom too" he said, at least she has people  who cares for her why would she need me " okay fine if I see her I will tell her your words " I said dramatically before hanging up.

After a couple of hours I was done reading, I just hope what I read stick to my head. I checked the time, it was almost midnight, I need to rest and get up early in the morning, I heard keys shuffling and and Mandy opened the door and closing it behind her, then she turned to face me " hi" she said but I ignored  her and went to grab a glass of water from the kitchen " um your brother has been trying to reach you, so pick up his call him and your mother is worried about you" I said as  I felt her gaze on me. Now I can identify she and Nate are really siblings, they have the same gaze. After a short while I entered into my room to drift into a dreamless sleep.

The next day, I was woken up to a sound of thunders, I checked the time 5:45am , I groggily stood up and went to the bathroom to take a hot shower before wearing a BTS hoodie,yes am a army, and a black leggings. I did my hair into a messy bun, I wore by Nike sneakers. I packed all the notes I needed for the day, I looked at my window to see the rain is not about to stop anytime soon, I saw the flowers Nate gave me being touched by the rain, I didnt want it to die so I kept it inside. It's so beautiful , I loved it and now my room smell like flowers.
