SERAPHINA'S POV
"What did you see, Thalia?" Draven asked her seriously. We are currently here in our Eclipse dorm since it's already late at night.
All students are now starting to hunt outside, so we decided not to go out yet.
"S-She was in pain... she was under a dark curse for almost 10 years from now," Thalia delivered the sad news to us. We gasped upon hearing it.
"What kind of curse?" Xavier asked.
The Eclipse has seven members here. There are four males, two vampires, and two werewolves. As for us females, Elysia is the only vampire.
Damien and Xavier are werewolves, while Draven and Arc are vampires.
"N-Nakita ko lahat ng pinagdaanan niya for the past 10 years ago. She was in a dark dimension with no one but herself." paliwanag ni Thalia. ". . . It was not that she ran away, she had fallen asleep when she was just 11 years old, and she only woke up just a few days ago."
Sa lahat sa 'min si Thalia lang yung may ability na tinatawag na Clairvoyance.
Draven turned to Damien to ask for the information he needed. "Her time is just limited; she won't last here- and her life limit now is only 2-3 months."
"Then, what will happen when her 3-month stay here is up?" Arc asked.
"She will sleep again, but she won't wake up. She's lucky that she woke up today."
"God! At sino namang walang puso ang gagawa nun sa inosenteng si Sandra?" napatakip nalang ako ng bibig.
She was too innocent for this- I mean, masyado pa siyang bata no'ng maranasan niya ang lahat ng 'to.
"There's no other than her father," Damien answered, and we all immediately looked at him upon hearing that.
"What do you mean?" Draven asked. Among all of us, Draven is the only one determined to help Sandra, but he's not alone as we are also willing to help. These past few days, he saw Sandra crying in the forest, and he heard her say things.
He even tried to read her mind but couldn't because it was closed, which is unusual for him. He can read everyone's mind here, even us... so you really can't keep secrets from him.
Draven is different from us, and only the seven of us know. Draven can possess everything.
"My older sister is working for her father as a servant for his dark magic. My older sister can't do anything because that jerk has a hold on my younger sibling too," Damien said tightly, clenching his fist, his jaw tense.
"Continue," Draven said authoritatively. Damien looked at him, and his eyes suddenly changed color, but it quickly vanished as he spoke.
"I know all of Sandra's father's plans because my sibling tells me everything," he uttered. ". . . The Crimson Nightshade Coven, he's the leader there."
I involuntarily swallowed at the mention of the name of the group of vampires with dark magic. It's not just vampires involved there; even the werewolves who want to dominate our world and the world of mortals are included. The power they use to cast curses doesn't come from them but from the witches with dark magic who are part of their group.
"My elder sister said that the reason why Caspian did that to her daughter is because of her power."
"What about her abilities?" Elysia asked.
"She's... I don't know- she's different," he didn't finish his sentence.
"Back to the topic, may gamot ba para mawala yung sumpa?" tanong ko. Kailangan meron, kasi hindi niya deserve ang lahat ng 'to. Masyado naman atang unfair ng mundo sa kaniya.
"Meron. . . pero mananatili pa rin yung sumpa." Damien replied.
Damn it! Ganiyan ba talaga karupok yung sumpa na 'yan at hindi man lang mawala-wala?!
"Spill it."
"As the two months of her stay here come to an end, on that very day, her curse will be lifted... unless a vampire or werewolf is willing to accept the curse that will remain in her body for life," Damien explained.
The heck? And which vampire would accept a curse that will make you sleep and never wake up again? It's like being dead if that happens to you.
". . . and if no one accepts the curse on that day, it will remain in her for the rest of her life here in our world." he added.
"Hindi rin ba limited yung sumpa?" I asked, hopeless.
"Sort of. The curse will only completely disappear if the vampire who accepts it indeed dies."
Ash! Walang pinagkaiba sa first choice! Mamatay lang din naman pala.
"I volunteer to do it." napatingin kami kay Draven nang sabihin niya iyon.
"No! The heck, bro. Are you out of your mind?" dispiradong ani Arc.
"There's no choice, Arc. I am the Vizier, the descendant of Lucian Bloodmoon and it is my job to maintain my people to be safe and alive."
Napasapo nalang ako ng noo.
"I am different from everyone, so I guess my body can handle the curse." pursigidong aniya.
Gags!
"Elysia, start the ritual together with Xavier. Make sure that after two months, the curse will transfer immediately to my body." tumayo na kaagad si Draven at nawala nalang bigla sa harapan namin.
Hindi niya pwedeng gawin yun, hindi pa niya nahahanap yung descendant ni Aurelia Moonshade. Kailangan niya siya. . . kailangan niya yung descendant na 'yon upang puksain ang kadiliman na paparating.
