The Divorce

POV Marinette:

Luka stood up, his eyes fixed on Adrien, who was smirking confidently. With deliberate steps, Luka walked toward Adrien, their eyes locked in a silent challenge. The tension in the room was palpable as they stood face to face.

Seeing the situation unfold, I hurried toward them. Just as I reached them, Adrien grabbed my hand and pulled me close. Before I could react, he leaned in and kissed me on the lips, his gesture both possessive and tender.

I felt a flush rise to my cheeks as Adrien's lips met mine, the unexpected kiss in front of Luka making my heart race. The kiss was brief but left me breathless, the intensity of the moment lingering between us. Luka's expression remained unreadable as he watched, the dynamics between us shifting in an instant.

Luka: you are a married man and ....

Adrien: I have an arranged marriage with Kagami. The girl you are fucking right now

Luka: look Mr. Agreste, I can explain and .....

Adrien: you have nothing to explain, I'm thankful for you

Luka: thankful?

Adrien: I love Marinette so much, since the day I saw her. I never loved Kagami and she is with me just with money. The contract between our parents will be canceled only when she cheats on me.

Luka: but why not you?

Adrien: I was just with my private detective, he was able to have some pictures of her with other men than Luka but I need a little help from you Luka and for sure, after this help I'll promote you and give you a raise

Luka: sure, what is it?

Adrien: leave your door open today at night. Her parents are already in the jet from China, so I want them to assist live for their little bitch

Luka and Adrien extended their hands, and they shook their hands. With the business concluded, everyone dispersed to their respective offices to resume their work.

As night fell, I found myself anxiously waiting for Luka's message to let me know he is home with Kagami.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door, breaking the silence of the evening. it was my parents standing there and two more persons, they look like Adrien.

Adrien: Mr. and Mrs. Dupain. Marinette this is my father and mother

Emily: nice to meet you

Tom: thanks for the invite. Hi Marinette

Marinette: yeah, hi

Gabriel: so why we are here Adrien?

Adrien: no need for questions, just follow me to the car

Our parents stood there, their faces a mixture of confusion and concern. It was clear that they didn't understand the urgency behind Adrien's command to get in the car, but they followed without protest. The tension was palpable as we piled into the vehicle, the silence punctuated only by the hum of the engine as Adrien drove us to Luka's house.

Our parents exchanged worried glances, their brows furrowed and lips pressed into thin lines.

As we arrived at Luka's house, Adrien parked the car hastily and we all got out. Adrien, without a word, opened it and led us inside. The living room was dimly lit, and the silence was deafening as we stepped in, one by one, holding our breath

Then, we saw them.

Kagami, my sister, was entwined with Luka on the couch, oblivious to our presence. They were lost in each other, sharing a passionate kiss that seemed to last an eternity.

For a moment, everything stood still. Our parents eyes widened in shock, their faces a canvas of disbelief and dismay. My father's face turned a deep shade of red, a vein visibly throbbing on his forehead.

The shock quickly turned to anger. My father, unable to contain his fury, shouted her name.

Tom: Kagami

The sound of his voice broke the spell. Kagami and Luka pulled apart, but only her face flushed and eyes wide with surprise.

Kagami turned to face our father, her expression a mix of guilt and defiance. The room was filled with a tense silence, everyone frozen in place

Kagami: d-dad let me explain

Tom: you bitch, explain what?

Adrien: I think now I have the right to get a divorce right father?

Kagami: please Adrien, you won't do that and ....

Adrien: game over baby. I was waiting for this moment for months. I need this divorce

Gabriel: I agree. But with this divorce, the deal with the Dupain Cheng and the Agreste is ....

Adrien: great, Kagami don't worry, I already asked the maids to pack your items in your suitcases, they are in the trunk of the car. So now please leave my mansion and go out. I'm finally free from you

Tom: follow me, you are going with me now

My parents intervened, guiding Kagami out of the room, while Adrien's parents followed to sort things out. With them gone, Adrien and I approached Luka. Adrien hugged Luka

Luka: glad to hear that but this doesn't hide the hard truth that I lost Marinette

Adrien: aren't you in love with Kagami?

Luka: no, I always love Marinette, but Kagami was a simple crush no more. take care of Marinette, she deserves the best. Don't make my mistake

Adrien: don't worry, I'll take good care of her

As we were talking, I suddenly felt a wave of nausea washing over me, accompanied by a sharp pain in my stomach. I quickly placed my hand over my mouth, feeling the urgency to find the bathroom. Hastily, I excused myself and hurried to locate it, relieved when I found it just in time.

Rushing inside, I leaned over the toilet and vomited. After flushing the toilet and standing up to rinse my mouth, I caught sight of Adrien's reflection in the mirror, looking at me while raising an eyebrow in concern.......
