Chapter 2: Spryzen gone?!

Early in the morning during a weekday, Shu was practicing his bey launch in the park as usual. He was quite a bit sweaty as he had been training for almost an hour.

When he wanted to launch for the 21st time, suddenly...

"SHUUU! LET'S HAVE A BATTLE NOW!!"

Valt's sudden loud voice made Shu lose focus and his launch went astray, making Spryzen fly quite far in the other direction from outside the arena.

A glare was given to Valt for making his launch go astray. Valt smiled nervously. "Oops! Sorry, Shu!"

Hearing it made Shu soften, he sigh and smile a little. "It's okay, Valt." He said then got up to go get his bey, but his brows become furrowed a little

"Hmm? What's wrong, Shu?" Valt asked, curious when he see Shu's expression.

"I can't find Spryzen."

"What?! I'll help you find it!" Quickly, Valt went looking for Spyzen around the park. But before he could start, he accidentally tripped on the ground, which made Shu sweat a little at his friend's behavior.

"AHH!! WHERE IS IT?!" Valt yelled in frustrated when he and Shu couldn't find anything Spryzen for 2 hours.

As for Shu, he became worried because he couldn't find Spyzen. So he continued to look for it in another grassy area, which he was sure his bey had hidden in the grass. While he was crouching around the grass, he suddenly heard the sound of someone's footsteps but it was faint. And he was sure it wasn't the sound of Valt's footsteps. It made Shu look up and look around to find the source of the sound.

As he looked towards the source of the sound, which was in a tree that was only 6 inches away from him, it appeared that someone was hiding behind the tree to hide. Shu couldn't tell if it was because the person was hiding in shame or not. So he decided to approach the tree and then stopped.

"Hey, why are you hiding? I won't do anything on you, so don't worry." Shu said calmly and politely to convince that person to stop hiding behind the tree.

"..." There was silence for a minute, before slowly the person peeked it's head over the side of the tree, to see black and purple hair at the ends of its hair. It's lavender eyes looked at Shu cautiously, fearfully and shyly.

Noticing the person's gaze, Shu softened and gave a small smile to reassure the person more.

Finally, the person peeped out a little again and it was clear that the figure was a girl who looked about his age. She said nothing, she slowly extended her hand to Shu and opened it to reveal the Spryzen in her grasp. It seems she wants to return it back.

Shu breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that his bey had been found. He went to step closer to go get his bey, but-

"Shu! What are you doing there? Are you found Spyzen?!" Once again, Valt spoke up unexpectedly when he realized his best friend was by the tree, causing the blunette to quickly approach curiously.

Because Valt's loud voice made the girl flinch and become embarrassed even though she had not yet been seen by him. Without saying a word or thinking again, she quickly ran away from there, with Spryzen still in her grasp.

"Wait-!" Before Shu could call, the girl had already sped away until she was no longer seen. He groaned watching the girl leave, he looked at Valt a little sharply. "Valt.... Lower your voice next time, you scare her!"

Valt showed a confused look mixed with nervousness on his face. "Eh? Wait, is there really someone there??" He said in surprise as he looked around. "But I don't see anyone here but us!" He said in a daze.

"No, she was behind this tree earlier. She seemed to be trying to return Spryzen to me but she ran away when she heard your voice, Valt." He explained to his friend.

"Oh! Sorry, Shu. But hey! She might come back tomorrow? Yes, you know. To bring back your bey, right?" Valt cheerfully said with his usual bright smile. Shu sighed softly, he couldn't be angry for so long every time he saw Valt this cheerful.

"... Yea, I hope so."

Okay, that same night I only wrote Chapter 1. But the difference is, this is the first chapter I actually wrote. Then I thought it didn't fit, so I made this as chapter 2. Hope you like it!
