Snow Day

Charlotte never expected to see Mia so caught up in playing, especially with her children. The sounds of squeals of delight when Mia was hit by a snowball brought a smile to her face, as did Mia screaming "I will defeat you, you evil aliens".

While Charlotte sat inside watching the scene play out, she saw the way Mia had built a type of shield out of snow to hide behind while the kids plummeted her with snowball after snowball. She giggled when Mia was hit and as she pretended to meet her end, the kids ran up to her to make sure she's okay, only for her to pull a sneak attack and drown them in snowballs. 

Charlotte took a sip out of her hot cocoa as she thought about how much Mia had grown in the time they were together and how much Mia had grown to love her children like they were her own. 

Charlotte looked down at her watch and suddenly realised how late it had come to be and so she quickly opened the sliding doors and called for Mia and her children to come inside, only to hear a groan from Mia and a following plead of 5 more minutes outside. 

Charlotte hid her smile behind her mug when she came to realise the plead came not from the kids but actually Mia. Her smile widened as her kids further pleaded after Mia, asking for an extra 7 minutes instead as they were having so much fun.
