Neji Hyuga x Reader [1]

Everyone has a soulmate.

Sometimes fate is cruel and takes them away. Fate isn't always cruel though, sometimes fate pushes two new souls together.

However, fate was not so kind to [Name]. Fate ripped away [Name]'s one true love; Neji Hyuga. After the war was over and Neji was to be buried, [Name] couldn't handle it. She began to spiral out of control; losing her career and mind. It wasn't instantaneous, it was a slow slip into madness that started with small missions being messed up that progressively got worse. The final mission she was allowed to do ended up being the worst. She was so distracted and dazed that she accidentally lead her team to near death. Her team was strong enough to make it through so no one passed away on that mission though it was too close of a call.

Eventually Kakashi had no choice but to dismiss her of her ninja duties for good and send her to Sakura for evaluation.

The result wasn't good. Her mind and soul really were breaking, so it gave Sakura no choice but to commit her to the mental hospital and put her under 24/7 surveillance. It was all that could be done with insanity eating away at her.
