*Ramen! Yum!*
-Akira's P.O.V-
'Hmm. What to do today... I don't think Naru is on a mission so I'll see if he wants to go with me to Ichiraku's! Mmm... Chicken ramen.. ♥.'
I start drooling a little as I day dream about Ichiraku's chicken ramen. It's AMAZING! Hehe. Still lost in my thoughts, I don't even realize that I'm at team 7's normal training grounds and I bumped into Sai, and of course I get snapped out of my chickeny thoughts.
"You should really be more careful Akira. A girl as weak as you could easily be kidnapped and you wouldn't even be able to fight back." Sai spoke, giving me on of his famous fake smiles. I get an irk mark because Sakura starts laughing a little while Naru and Kakashi-Sensei were talking.
"Shut the hell up Sai." I growl lowly, glaring at him and Sakura.
"What are you even doing here Akira? You aren't even part of Team Kakashi anymore." Sakura questioned and smirked, having nearly dropped venom off every word she spoke to me. All I did was roll my eyes and reply
"To ask Naruto something. Not that it's any of your business." This time she rolled her eyes.
"Wow, you're trying to ask Naruto out? Even he can do better than you."
Now as much as I hate Haruno and don't care what she says, that still hurt since I already knew that, but got the courage to do it anyways. I mean yeah Naru and I have been pretty good friends since the academy but, that doesn't make it any easier. It makes it more difficult if anything. I mentally winced at her comment but, externally I just rolled my eyes.
"Whatever Haruno. Go to hell. Same to you Sai." I grumbled. By this time Naru and 'Kashi came over to us. I was so happy Naru didn't hear anything. As I was about to ask Naruto to go to Ichiraku's, he spoke up first. Talking to Sakura.
"Hey Sakura! You wanna go to Ichiraku's with me? I'll treat!" Naruto smiled brightly with hopes at Sakura, the stupid, pink-haired devil.
"*sighs* Alright Naruto. You win. I'll go on a date with you, you wore me down." At that moment, my heart nearly stopped. Naruto has been head over heels for her as long as I've been for him. This means I have about zero chance. As long as she gives him even a sliver of hope, he'll keep trying.
So.. As you probably know, that was practically like a kunai to the heart and back. Team or not, we're stil comrades..
'I never thought she'd stoop so low...' I think to myself, feeling myself break inside.
"Whoohoo!! Aright! Thanks Sakura! Let's get going now!" Naru yelled as he ran off for ramen. Sakura just smirked and walked after him. Sai had disappeared so it was just me and 'Kashi. I let out a sad, audible sigh, only for Kakashi to hear as I plopped on the ground and sat with my head down.
"Ya know," Kakashi started "You need to tell him regardless of how he feels towards Sakura. I saw the hurt that flashed in your eyes when Sakura said that. And the part with the team thing." I looked up at him in suprise, thinking he hadn't heard any of that.
"Don't look so suprised. Give me some credit Aki. Jeez." At that I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, I know, I know. I can't though. I thought he was starting to get over her since he hadnt asked her out in awhile so I'd have a better chance but, now I dunno." I told 'Kashi honestly, looking down again.
"Have you tried asking anyone else out? Maybe to just get to know them?" Kakashi questioned.
"No." I mumbled back, knowing I should've by now. Considering I'm nearly 18.
