I tried opening my eyes but they were heavy at last i opened them.I saw my mother crying next to me and holding my hand.
Me:mah.
Mah:Nono you're awake.
Me:Yes what happened.
Mah: you fainted again.
Me: what did the doctor say.
As she was about to explain the my doctor came in.
Me:doc what's wrong with me.
Doc: saubona mah nawe Nono.
Me:ohh sorry doc.
Mah: saubona doctor, what's wrong with my daughter.
Doc:mah I have bad news the results are back and Nono here has cancer.
I didn't know what to say or how to feel all I wanted was to be alone.
Me: can i be alone.
Mah:kodwa Nono.
Me: please mah.
Mom started crying and got out so as the doctor I was left alone and I cried myself to sleep. I was woken up by my friend Zama.
Zama:chomie!!
Me:haibo ntobazana ubanga umsindo.
(I said laughing)
Zama: sorry I got carried away, so what did the doctor say.
Me: she said it was nothing to worry about.
Zama: how because it's the third time this happen.
Me:I don't know.
Zama:No i think you're hiding something from me.
Me: don't worry I won't you know i tell you everything you are my bestie.
Zama:I know that's right.
We talked for a while and my family walked in and hugged us. The conversation went by ,till Zama did her goodbyes and left after she left the doctor came in and told us that i can go back home but i must come back next week Friday for check up.after she left the ward my mother gave me clothes to change into after doing that we left the hospital and went home. When we get there I went straight to my room and took a shower and as was about to sleep my brother came"can I come in he asked "i nodded.
Brother:hey buddy.
Me:hey.
Brother: how do you feel.
Me:I don't know buddy everything is just complicated.
Brother: don't worry you are going to survive this.
Me:tell me how nkosana I have lung cancer.
Just then I started crying and my brother comfortable me I love this guy with every fibre in my body.
I am Noluthando Zungu the daughter, of Senzo Zungu and Nomafu Zungu am the last born I have a brother nkosana(27).I am eighteen years old am doing matric at Durban north college.
