Chapter 14

Sirius:
I’m home.

Hinatid ako ni Sirius muli sa bahay pagkatapos namin sa kanila. Tahimik akong umalis at binigyan ng maliliit na ngiti ang Mommy nito at ang kapatid niya. Wala ang Daddy Sirius dahil pala may trabaho. Next time na lang daw.

Tapos na akong maligo at naghanda na matulog nang makita ang message sa akin ni Sirius. This is his first message again to me after several days. Ilang segundo ko rin itong tiningnan bago nagsimulang  magtipa.

Tiffany:
Good po! Rest ka na.

I replied.

Bago ko pa mababa ang cellphone ay narinig ko agad ang tunog ng cellphone, hudyat na may panibagong message. Agad ko naman itong kinuha at binasa.

Sirius:
Opo. Papahinga lang saglit. Ikaw rin, rest na po.

A small smile formed in my lips and started typing again. Ngunit hindi pa ‘ko tapos mag tipa ay may sumunod na agad itong message.

Sirius:
I already asked you earlier, but how's my family? I knew mom would like you. Sa mga kwento ko pa lang kilig na kilig na siya. Akala mo lovelife niya eh.

Tiffany:
You're mom's cute po sobra. I like her po. I like your family.

I laughed at myself while reading his replies. I bit my lower lip when I read the word lovelife. Our relationship was just for an arranged marriage, there's no love, right?

His mom is really cute and acts like a child. And I can feel that they really have a good mother-son relationship and that's good.

I sighed before turning off my phone to tuck myself in bed. I looked at the ceiling now remembering the words of his sister earlier.

Sirius really has a girlfriend. I am now really sure. So, why would he still want to be in this arrangement? Base on his sister, Danica, they must've a good relationship for his little sister to like his girlfriend so much.

I bit my lower lip and shut my eyes feeling a pang on my chest.

I opened my eyes again when I heard the notification sound of my phone.

Sirius:
Hmm, really? She likes you too. Parang pinagtabuyan na nga ako bilang anak kanina. :((

I slightly chuckled at his reply. I just stared at it too long until it was ten minutes of silence, my thoughts flew again making me sigh hard.

Maybe, I'll ask him about his girlfriend.

I admitted I have a crush on him, and now, I am slowly liking the idea of being married to my crush. But ruining his relationship with his girl hurts me. I don't want to ruin someone else's relationship, that's bad, especially since this is only an arranged marriage. Sirius can back out, he has someone already, there's also no need to be married to me. My Daddy can find another guy.

My thoughts were interrupted by the notification sound of my phone again.

Sirius:
You left me on read?

Are you sleeping na po?

Did you leave your phone open?

Hmm, maybe you're sleeping already. Cute.

I woke up feeling a gentle slap on my cheeks.

I slowly opened my eyes and rubbed them to clearly see the person in front of me.
