Jenna grew up near Springfield, Illinois. She grew up in Lincoln, Illinois, a medium size farming town. Jenna Riley was always a bookworm. Jenna has watched wrestling since she could remember. Her father Travis Riley died when she was 3 when he was shot in the line of duty in the Marines. Her mother, Nicole Riley had been a wrestling fan for most of his life. Her mother is a high school English Teacher and Part Time College Professor for night classes. Jenna's grandfather Scott, was also a wrestling fan. Jenna spent most of her time with her grandfather since he would babysit her while her mother worked a lot. At the age of 12 was diagnosed with Dyslexia and ADHD.
Jenna after graduating from High School she moved to Houston Texas to train. She trained at The with Booker T and Athena (Ember Moon). She got closer with Athena however. They had the same interest. She became her mentor. She became like an older sister. Though she also got close with Booker as well. He became like an uncle/father figure to her. During her training she also became close with fellow NXT Superstar Roxanne Perez. They later formed a tag team in ROW called Rok & Rie Connection.
In February 2023 she was signed to WWE and debuted on Main Event in May facing Emma and Rozanne in a triple threat match. Jenna has been shown facing Blair Davenport, Fallon Henley, Tatum Paxley, and Cora Jade.
Jenna knew from a young age she wanted to be a wrestler. Her mother wasn't ok with it at first. Once she saw how happy it made Jenna she started being supportive of her career choice. While Jenna's grandfather was very supportive from the very start. He paid for her wrestling training and her first gear. Marie cites Gail Kim, AJ Lee, Ember Moon, Daniel Bryan, Lita, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Maria Kanellis Bennett, Evan Bourne, Allie, and Alex Shelley as her inspiration to become a wrestler. She took up the high flying technical styles some of her idols had to into her own style. Jenna grew up loving photography, reading, and dungeons and dragons.
