It was my first day of my new school. It was about ten minutes from here if I ran. We didn't have to wear a uniform.

I prepared myself for a day of torture, bullying and hiding. I decided on a blue top that came down to my midthigh and a pair of jeans. I let my red hair flow down my back.

I had pancakes for breckfast, kissed my gramma goodbye and started the run to school. I was wary of everything that moved. I got to school in 8 minutes and 27 seconds. Walking to the main office, I realised I was now very early.

"Hello, I'm new here and was told to come here to be directed to the headteachers office," I said to the receptionist. She beamed at me. She looked friendly, she had an amazing colour of blue for hair and the greenest eyes i have ever seen.

"Hello and welcome to Bredburn, it is straight ahead and the first left, have a nice day and if you have any problem or get lost find me and I will help you, bye bye now," Now she was a nice recepionist, at our last school she was called Miss Jolly and believe me she was anything but jolly.

"Thanks," I waved at her and turned around. Now to my fresh day of hell. And first things first is to meet the headteacher. I walked to the door and knocked quietly.

"Come in," I had expected a man but it was a womens voice. When I opened the door, on the other side of a huge desk was a small looking woman. She looked up at me. She had long, blonde hair and blue eyes, She smiled at me.

"Hello Mrs Berry. I'm Elena Willsbrough. I'm the ne--" She stood up and walked over to me. I couldn't finish my sentence because she grabbed me in a death hug. Well to a normal person it would have been a death hug, to me it was barely anything.

"I know who you are, I used to go to school with your mother and father, How are they these days?" I was scared someone would ask me something like this.

"They passed away two years ago," I looked at the floor holding back the tears. She gently touched my chin and lifted up my head, she looked me in the eyes.

"Thats- i'm very sorry for you, You know, your mother was a good friend," I was kind of happy that I was in a place where so many people knew of my parents.

"Ok, I have your schedule printed out, and if there is anything that you need come and see me straight away," We went over a few more details and she told me she had put me with her daughter in as many classes as possible and she could stick with her for a new friend.

We had been here for about an hour and school would start in five minutes. She offered to take me to my homeroom.

We were walking down the hall when she turned to me. "You look a lot like your mother," then she turned and opened the door behind her. I was shocked but followed her.

"Hello everyone. Did we all have a good weekend?" everyone sort of mumbled a reply but then they noticed me. Great, they were already whispering and they didn't even know my name.

"This is Elena Willsbrough, I want you all to be kind and treat her with respect, and if there is any trouble she will come to me and say. Now Elena sit here with Holly. Holly I want you to stay with her this week. Ok, have a good day everyone," and she left. I sat down awkwardly next to Holly, This must be her daughter.

Everyone slowly got louder and unfortunatley the talk was about me.

"Hey, I'm Holly," she offered me a piece of gum and I took it. She smiled at me. She looked like her mum.

"Yes I know, your mum told me about you." she looked at me with wide eyes, afraid that someone might have heard.

"Sorry, I'm a bit nervous," She calmed down and continued to text on her phone.

"So, where did you move from?" She said looking up from her phone.

"Uh, I moved from Fogmere. It's east of here," I said hoping the questions would end now.

"Why did you move?" I panicked. I hadn't really decided on an answer for this yet.

"Uh. Um. Well my parents died two years ago and I recently just got in touch with my gramma and decided it would be better for me to live with her," I said quickly.

"I'm sorry," she said sincerely.

"Thanks," no one at school had ever acknowledged my parents death.

Maybe school wasn't that bad after all.

Ok so some major changes happening in this chapter. This chapter and the ones that follow were a bit over the top so this is where the big changes are going to be made.

Thanks
