JOOEUN POV

An awkward silence. That's all there is in my one room home, with Sunghoon sitting on the couch across from my bed, which is where I'm seated, my back leaning against the wall and arms crossed.

SUNGHOON POV

I'm fiddling with my fingers as I stay still on Jooeun's couch. My eyes dart to everywhere but her eyes.

'I should've thought of what I should say before coming ugh..' I mentally slap myself.

For what seems like eternity, neither of us says anything.

"So... why the sudden change of thought?" Jooeun breaks the silence first.

"Uh... Honestly, I don't know." I say, rubbing my nape.

Silence follows again. Jooeun sighs.

"To be honest, I don't know if it was a good idea to have you come here. Did you even really think of a solution?" She says, getting up to pour a glass of water.

I stay silent. To answer her question, I haven't thought of a solution. I just rushed here as soon as I got her text. I sigh.

"Looks like you haven't. I haven't either." She confesses, taking a sip out of her cup.

I observe her, glancing at her cute button nose, glancing at her tired-of-life but sparking eyes, plump pink lips, to her cute bunny pajamas. 'What is this feeling...? Why do I think she's cute all of a sudden?' I think to myself. I brush the thought off and open my mouth to speak.

"Since neither of us has an idea, maybe we could come up with one..?" I say carefully. Jooeun sets her cup down on the coffee table between us, grabs her laptop and plops back down on her bed, setting the laptop on her lap. "I'll write our ideas down as we go." She says. 'Our? She said our...' I sneak a little smile.

"What are you smiling for?" she questions, glaring at me. Maybe I wasn't as sneaky as I thought.

JOOEUN POV

I notice Sunghoon smiling. "What are you smiling for?" I ask, glaring at the boy.

"It's... nothing.." He hesitates. It seems like something is on his mind, but do I care? Not really.

*TIME SKIP*
A couple of the most awkward hours of my life have passed as we read over some of the ideas the both of us have come up with. What we came up with consisted of what rumors about me are going on, who started it, and of course, our solutions on how to make the rumors die down.

"I don't know what made you change your mind about bulling me, but I guess you were being truthful about wanting to help me." I say, getting up and placing my laptop on my desk.

"I.. I don't know since when, but I've started feeling weird when I'm with you." Sunghoon covers his face in embarrassment.

I make a face, confused as to what feeling weird when he is with me meant. But I brush it off, and get up to open the door, to make him leave since we're done with sharing ideas. But Sunghoon doesn't get up from the couch.

"Aren't you gonna leave now?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.

"Can I stay for dinner?" I cough, surprised at the sudden question.
"What? Don't you have to go home? I'm pretty sure Mrs. Park already made dinner already." I say, hitting my chest to try and stop coughing.

SUNGHOON POV

I don't know what's gotten into me. But today, I want to stay with her for as long as possible. "Please?" I beg, putting on my best puppy eyes. I chuckle internally when I see Jooeun internally contemplating whether to allow me to have dinner with her.

Eventually, Jooeun sighs and closes the door. "Fine. Just this once."

She looks tiny in the slightly oversized bunny pajamas. With her hair up in a messy bun and gigantic round glasses that are too big for her face, makes me smile.

"Is doenjang jjigae fine?" she asks without looking back as she heads to the kitchen.

"I'm fine with anything ." I reply, excited to get a taste of little miss bunny's cooking.

'Hold up. Am I excited right now? Something's definitely gotten into me.' I mentally facepalm myself as I catch myself finding Jooeun cute.

*TIME SKIP*
I watch Jooeun as she carefully carries the stone pot full of steaming doenjang jiigae over to the dining table. She microwaves some instant rice and sets one down in front of me. I widen my eyes as the smell of Jooeun's doenjang jjigae fills the air.

"Oh my gosh. Smells heavenly." I dramatically put my hand on my forehead and pretend to faint. Unfortunately, Jooeun doesn't react at all and it makes me sulk a little.

We eat in silence, only sound of our utensils are heard.

JOOEUN POV

I don't dare look up. I stare at my rice and doenjang jjigae, until Sunghoon breaks the silence.

"You're a good cook." Sunghoon says. The sudden compliment makes me flustered.

"Thanks" I reply shortly, trying to cover my face to hide the blood rushing to my face.

Again, slience follows. I wonder why he's stopped bullying me and starting to be more nice to me. Did Mrs. Park tell him to be nice?

I take another spoonful of doenjang jjigae and pour it over what's left of my rice. I repeat the steps two more times, when I notice Sunghoon staring at what I'm doing.

"What?" I snap.

"You eat like that too? Pouring some doenjang jjigae over whatever rice you have left, I mean." He says, not seeming to mind that I snapped at him. It's just that him trying to be kind and friendly bugs me a little.

"What do you mean 'too'? Someone else eats like this too?" I retort, shoving a spoonful of doenjang jjigae soaked rice into my mouth.

"I do the same!" he exclaims, smiling.

That smile. I've seen him sneak a smile twice, but this the first time he's smiled at me directly. Suddenly, I feel my face getting red, so I get up to put the empty dishes in the sink before I head to the bathroom.

I close the bathroom door behind me and sink to the floor. "What are these butterflies I'm feeling..." I whisper to myself.

(A/N: Hehe the both of them are starting to fall for each other but are in denial~)
