After unexpectedly encountering her cousin, Shameer Suleiman .

He had been living with her family since his parents tragically perished in a plane crash on route from Karachi to Lahore.

As she gazed at him, a surge of disgust and annoyance swept over her, prompting her to attempt to shut the door on him.

However, he swiftly thwarted her attempt by grasping the handle firmly.

"Why have you come here?" she demanded, her irritation palpable. Ignoring her, Shameer flashed a repugnant smile and teasingly inquired .

"Why so angry? Didn't you miss me?" Rolling her eyes, she retorted .

"Who are you to me that I would miss you?" She pivoted away from him, reached for a book on her nightstand, and made her way to the bed in a bid to evade his unwelcome presence.

Undeterred, Shameer declared with confidence, "Your soon-to-be husband," standing before her with his arms crossed, a self-assured smirk on his face.

" If you desire for us to marry, I will not marry you. You are shameless and irresponsible," she expressed firmly, avoiding any eye contact.

Her feelings of disgust continued to intensify as she felt trapped in this situation. She had always known about the arrangement her parents had made, but seeing him in person only made her more repulsed.

As she held the book tightly in her hand, she could sense his arrogant presence lingering in the room. Deep down, she knew that she needed to stand up for herself and make it clear

" You have to marry me, even if you don't want " he said before leaving .

She was taken aback by his forceful statement about marriage, feeling anger rise within her as she watched him storm away with clenched jaw.

She couldn't believe the nerve of him, his words stabbing at her heart like tiny knives. The weight of his expectation for her to marry him, whether she liked it or not, felt suffocating.

The mere idea of being forced into this commitment against her will made her stomach churn.

A ray of hope shone through as she saw a message from Qayanat, which brought a sense of relief and comfort. her trusted confidante and best friend.

The familiar warmth of their friendship brought a small smile to her face, offering a momentary reprieve from the turmoil of the situation.
