Draco reassured Jade for the rest of yesterday and he promised that his father would not judge her for her father's actions, it played on her mind all the time. Whenever she was to meet someone's parents all she could think about is how they'd perceive her due to her father's actions which she had no part in.

She was unsure of what the dress code was for this dinner, knowing that it was at the Malfoy's meant that it was probably something 'really' fancy yet she had almost nothing to meet those requirements. Asking Tonks and Remus was completely out of the picture too considering Jade hadn't spoke to them in so long, it wasn't done with evil intent she just couldn't bring herself to do it - seeing how her brother's had already reacted.

Jade left her dormitory for Draco's dorm, in desperate need of knowing what to wear for this dinner because she didn't want to be too overwhelming and neither underwhelming. She knocked on his door to hear a tired groan before it was opened, "Wha- Oh it's you." He smirked as his body lent on the door with his arm supporting his body against the door frame. "You're not dressed...we're leaving soon." He observed.

"About that...I have no idea what I'm going to wear!" She moaned frustratingly. Draco laughed as he opened the door wider, insinuating she come inside. He was already dressed in his black suit, clearly tailored and recently ironed just for him. It was easy for a Malfoy to choose what to wear, they had the money to buy whatever and whenever.

"You don't own anything formal witch?" He asked, Draco seemed confused at this. It was true that Draco Malfoy was somewhat out of touch with reality considering he had grown up disgustingly wealthy so his empathy typically ran low. Jade shook her head slowly, afraid of what his response might be. "Well, I do have a black dress but it just feels like too much!" She sighed.

"Show me." Is all the blonde said, he seemed genuinely intrigued by her idea - wanting to see it immediately. Jade nodded and went to her dorm to change quickly before coming back, she knew she didn't have much time and she definitely didn't want to piss Draco off because nobody wants to get on Draco Malfoy's bad side. Jade entered his room again, Draco was visibly speechless. He hated her, he had to.

-But surely he was allowed to admire her pleasant looks. Nothing wrong with that. "That'll work." Is all he said again because he didn't want to shower her in compliments - he wasn't supposed to. Draco was only talking to her because he was made to, there was no willingness here.

"That'll do?" She responded to him, it had sort of upset her that he didn't have more to say about her dress. Jade wanted to know what he really thought about her dress because she didn't want to risk pissing off Lucius and Narcissa. "Draco if you hate it can you just tell me because I refuse to embarrass myself." She muttered in a stressed voice.

He remained silent for a moment, trying to read her whilst her watched her slowly. Jade had somewhat of a frown on her face and Draco himself was aware that he had clearly bothered her by what he'd said. "That's not what I mean, of course you look pleasant. I just typically don't have to give compliments because I'm always the one being complimented." He smirked.

Jade rolled her eyes at his egotistical remark with a soft smile, what Draco said had reassured her that she couldn't have looked 'that' bad. After all, it was Draco Malfoy she asked and he was typically brutally honest with no filter. So he couldn't have hated what she wore that
much. "Are you ready to go?" He asked plainly.

She nodded and he took her arm to apparate them to the manor.

The two of them ended up just outside of the massive black engraved doors to the Manor, Draco whispered 'Alahamora' before entering the stupidly big building. The foyer itself was larger than Tonks and Remus home, it would be a lie if Jade didn't admit she was in awe of how someone can have this much money. Grand stairs that covered half the foyer probably led upstairs whilst the entrances either side led to rooms. Her eyes were wide at the emerald and silver accents the house held.
