SheepFur, as always, sat stiff near her kin during gatherings. She gazes around, trying to observe the cats. She recognises some of them.
SheepFur raised her head, glancing at the leaders on the rock. She accidentally makes eye contact with one of them, and she quickly gazes away.
"Cats of all clans." GraniteStar yowled out. "Please listen, this is important."
All cats look up at the tom, quieting down."Thank you. Listen. The Tribe Of Falling Maples have went too far. They went from confronting trespassers to instantly killing anyone who sets one foot into the forest! Remember BearStar, who tragically died while going to the moonstone to simply get a sign from StarClan. He's not even our only clan-mate who died under the claws of these cruel tribe cats! They even killed BearStar's deputy on the way to the moonstone to get his lives! And there's more!"
We've heard that already! But SheepFur's neck fur still bristled out of horror every time she remembered the tale. How can the tribe cats be so violent to shred anyone they encounter is beyond her.
"It took me days to get my nine lives because of that!" OliveStar of DustyClan exclaimed.
GraniteStar looked at OliveStar and nodded before continuing. "Medicine cats needs patrols to protect them from the tribe." His voice trembled, as if he was about to cry. "But our medicine cat, BrownLeaf, thought he'd be safe without a patrol this time, and then died on his way to the half-moon meeting. It's such a frustrating way to die! He thought since last time he didn't encounter a tribe cat, he wouldn't encounter one the second time."
"We have to drive them off!" A cat protested.
"Yes, exactly!" GraniteStar screeched. "That's why I tried to get your attention! To make sure the clan cats could travel to the moonstone safely, we need to teach the tribe cats a lesson."
"Just circle around the forest!" EveningStar snapped. "Don't get into an unnecessary fight."
"The forest in endless, and the tribe cats claim to own all of the forest! Their tribe is huge!" GraniteStar pointed.
"Then figure it out somehow, just don't fight the tribe." EveningStar went on. She obviously didn't want anything to do with driving out the tribe.
SheepFur didn't want the fight to happen either, but the tribe is scary to her.
GraniteStar narrowed his eyes, curling his lips. "If you don't want to fight with us, then be it. Anyone else is willing to join us?"
"I'll join you, GraniteStar." OliveStar mewed. Her clan seemed to agree.
This won't be fun. SheepFur widened her eyes and gazed at the ground in frustration.
GraniteStar jerked her head to LeatherStar. The FuzzyClan leader nodded immediately. "FuzzyClan, should we fight alongside RabbitClan and DustyClan?"
"Ofcourse we should!" RyeBerry yelled. "We have to!"
"Exactly! For the freedom of the clans!" The more courageous warriors of FuzzyClan added.
SheepFur's heart began to race faster at the realisation that she'll have to go to war with the extremely brutal tribe. She'll get torn apart before she'll even the the chance to claw someone.
"Then I'll give you a full day to prepare, and then the day after we'll meet at dawn right here." GraniteStar announced. "EveningStar, are you sure you don't want to help us?"
"I've made up my mind. You'll loose either way. My clan will not participate. It'd be a waste of lives." The she-cat said coldly.
"Coward." GraniteStar mumbled.
