Lucy POV: I'm awoken by a sniffling sound coming from Opal room. I stand up "Sh*t" I winced. My back is hell a sore from last night sleeps on the couch.
I make my way to Opal room and open the door to see her crying on her knees by her bed. "Opal sweetheart what wrong?" I say lowering myself to her level letting her sit on my lap.
"Daddy" she says sniffing and rubbing her little eyes to clear them from the tears. "What about daddy" I say lifting her chin up so that we are looking at each other. "He left" she says as her eyes fills with tears.
I sighed this girl has no idea of how evil her dad is but I'm grateful he is not a dead-beat dad. "Sweetheart daddy went to work he will be back you know this" I say rubbing her back.
"Why can't daddy stay?" She asked me "sweetie you know daddy haves important job and helps people from fire, and also keeps them safe" I say scoffed at myself to the last part 'he wants to protect strangers but what's to abuse me' I thought to myself.
"Aw, okay mommy" Opal say still upset. "How about I make some breakfast and you play with your toys" I say giving her a kiss on the forehead. A smile spreads across her face "okay" she say getting off my lap and waddle to her toy chest.
"Alright call mama when you need anything" I say getting up. "Okay" I hear Opal yelled as I head to the kitchen. Now since it 6:30 I'm made a small but fulling breakfast. "Opal breakfast is ready sweetie" I hear her little feet as she runs to me.
Opal lifts her arms "up mama" she says. I pick her up and placed her in the booster seat. I then hand her breakfast which was an omelette and sliced fruit along with some apple juice. "Alright mama's going to get dress, you call me if you need anything" I say
She nods her head with a cute little smile. I walk into the bathroom I check for any bruising from last nights scene. I found a couple which was on my torsos I let out a sigh of relief because no one will be able to see it.
I notice a hand print starting to form on my face so I quickly cover that up and I add some finish touches to my make up and threw my hair into a cute but messy bun walked into my bedroom and and got dressed and threw on some converses.

After I finish I walked into the kitchen to see Opal just finishing up her food. "You pretty Mama" Opal says with a big smile "Aw thank you baby" I say as I pick her up out of the booster sit.
"Let's go get you dress" I say walking into her room. I placed Opal on the changing table and changed her out of her pajamas into the outfit I pick out with some black and white converses.

Author's POV: After Lucy finish getting Opal dress she brung her inside the bathroom and placed her on the counter in-front of a mirror. "How do you want your hair Opal". Lucy said while grabbing the hair cart.
"A ponytail" Opal says "okay that's fine do you want a high or low ponytail" Lucy said "high mama. I want a strand out" Opal says. "Okay" Lucy say letting opal hair down. Lucy does opals hair.
"All done, you look so beautiful" Lucy says standing Opal on the counter so she can have a good look at herself. "Wow, thank you mama I love you" Opal says with a bright wide smile across her face.
"I love you too" Lucy said tickling Opal. Opal starts to giggle "Alright now let's go we don't want to be late" Lucy say placing Opal on her hip Lucy grab her duffel bag and Opal's back pack.
Lucy step in to the elevator of her building "remember Opal tell the teachers when you gotta go potty" Lucy say pressing the bottom level "I will mama" Opal says. The elevator ding as the doors open to the bottom level.
Lucy walked to her car; she opens her car door and place the bags in the back. She then buckled Opal into the car seat. She closed the back door and got in the driver seat. They headed off to Mid-Wilsher's day care.
When they arrived at the day care Lucy grabbed Opal's bag and unbuckled Opal out the car seat placing her on her hip. Lucy walked in to the front desk lady.
"Hi I'm here to sign Opal in for today" Lucy says "oh hello Ms. Chen, yes sign here please" The lady says handing Lucy a pen and check board. Lucy signs and places Opal down.
"Alright I love you sweetie, and be nice" Lucy says hugging Opal tightly but not too tight. "Love you to mama, bye-bye" Opal says returning the hugs. Lucy kiss her forehead and stands up "bye sweetie, have a nice day" Lucy says.
Lucy walks to her car opens the door and gets in she then turns on the radio blasting her music and sings along. She starts the engine and heads off to the station.
