***I noticed him instantly, but I'm not sure if he noticed me.
Despite the drunken bustle and wild ambience of the place, he stood out amongst the crowd. It was hard to miss someone who seemed to want people to notice him. His very presence wasn't one that you could simply overlook because he was a walking spectacle.
A spectacle that has skin sun-kissed with art all across his arms. Covered in tattoos, I was unable to tell if his tattoos were all over his body. Were they just on his arms and neck, or were they all over? All over a body that anyone would take notice to.
I noticed his size, and not because he was fat, but because of what he emulated. He was tall and broad shouldered, muscles that easily stood out. That person was fit and clearly took well care of themselves...
Took well care of his dark hair that I was unsure if it was brown or just a dark blond in these low-set lights. Either way, he still would be a lot to take in.
Since I haven't been able to get my eyes off of him since I've arrived.
"Desmond!"
I hear a friend of mine shout my name and I look over at him. His irritated expression while the others looked annoyed on my behalf told me enough. That they had been calling my name for some time.
"What were you even looking at?" A different friend craning her neck to look in the direction of that man, but before her eyes can find him, I shake my head.
"I was looking around. I'm still not used to such a place. I'm not used to...breaking the rules." I whisper the last part timidly despite the others beginning to laugh at my concern.
I was a good kid, or I should say, new adult now. I'm not used to not following the rules.
With the parents I have and the life I was privileged enough to be born into, I have always had an image to maintain. What I do reflects back onto my parents, who are famous and well respected nobles. People may not know me...but when they find out who I am and my last name, that says enough.
Someone can meet me and not have much to say because I'm not a really outstanding guy. My parents and my younger sisters draw attention as soon as they enter a room. I have always been the one people tend to overlook, in my opinion.
Even the people I am friends with now. They have openly told me they never even knew I existed until my name was said and I stood up in university, introducing myself.
I already embarrassed myself there. In my private school, we would stand and introduce ourselves to everyone. I was unaware...that universities don't do that as well.
"You shouldn't say that so shamefully. I'd call it..." A guy whose name I forgot looped his arm around my neck, yanking me against him as he waved his hand over the air for dramatic effect. "Living a little."
I chuckle at his statement, removing myself from his sudden grip. "Living a little, huh?"
"Indeed, Sir Vance." He mocks me as the others begin to laugh.
I don't chime in on such laughter because I don't find that to be funny. I don't want people to call me that, I don't deserve such a title yet. Besides, I'm with people my age, I don't want them to think they have to call me that.
Not to mention I know they aren't calling me that out of respect, they do it to get under my skin.
I don't like people knowing who I am related to if I can help it. They have more...genuine reasons to interact with me when they don't know my lineage...what I am set to inherit.

Random"You're obsessed." As was I; I chuckle, grabbing his wrist as I yank it off of me. Only for him to grab it again and I don't fight it. "Don't act like you're not." To be honest...I liked this. I was obsessed with him too, no matter how wrong this...
